Caregiving is something that just comes natural to me. I've been working in the caregiving business ever since I was 18. I'm patient, hardworking, understanding, and most importantly I love to help people. I've working with all types of patients from dementia, schizophrenia, severe MR, diabetes, depression, personality disorder and I love working in the field.

I am a caregiver by nature. I am compassionate. I enjoy being around people and working with them in their homes so that I can help them enjoy their lives to the fullest. I have worked as a Nurse for almost 15 years and have experience with all different types of clients, with a vast array of needs and I have enjoyed them all.

I am 39 years old and have dedicated a large portion of my adult life to serving others. After finishing three years in the United States Army (active duty) I decided to pursue a career in law enforcement. After receiving my bachelors degree in law enforcement I was promoted to police officer and I have been a license police officer for the City of Burnsville Minnesota since 2009. I have a wide, extensive history of working with people in need due to mental and physical disabilities. I like helping others and look forward to continuing to serve others that need assistance.

I'm a licensed Caregiver with formal training. I'm a very happy, patience and understanding person, I don't allow little things to bother me, I believe that happiness is contagious. One of my favorite quote, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". I'm very honest and reliable, I believe that every opportunity given to me is a blessing. Hello! I love working with people. I am very caring and respectful. I have experience working with individuals with a developmental disabilities and/or mental illness. I have worked as a direct support professional, house manager and currently Program Director for a group home of the last 4.5 years One if the reasons I started in this field is because I have a cousin who has disabilities. She was born missing half of a chromosome. She is such a wonderful person and I am so honored to be able to watch her grow and learn. I became a caregiver because i love taking care of people. What i like about being a care is that i get to build a good relationship with the people i give my cares and i take care of them like they are my own family. In order to have more knowledge on how to be a good caregiver, i am in the program to be a nurse of which i'm so proud of. Something about me is that i have a wonderful, an adorable and very funny two year old daughter who is my side kick who gives many reasons to even work harder towards any projects i have or jobs and i make sure that i achieve my goals.

I am a compassionate and nurturing person that enjoys helping people stay in their own homes. I have 20 plus years of experience ranging from basic personal care to Alzheimer's care. I started out at the age of 16 helping to take care of ailing my grandparents. I discovered, I truly care about how people are treated and taken care of. I want to provide the very best care I can to everyone and spread a little joy too!

I'm okay caring and loving and with me being a caregiver for 5+ years now, if your not caring or loving you can't be a caregiver. Being a caregiver means putting your emotions on your selves. You are the caregiver, the therapist, a friend & family all in one. My grandma opt me to being a caregiver when she started her battle with cancer in 2015. I was a senior in school had all my credits so I just needed office hours means most of my day was free time. I'll be a school juggling my office work and also keeping up with my grandmothers schedule. Having access to an computer helped me organize my grandmas medicine schedule and daily routine. My teachers and principal was my biggest supporters throughout my senior year journey so of course they helped me stay on top of everything regarding my grandmother. When I graduate I was full time hands on with grandmother, I knew this was destine for me to take care my elders or anyone who can't fully do it on their own. I loved learning about diseases my grandmother was diagnosed with. Learning how to pronounce different medicine was the fun part. It shaped and form me for my first job as a Resident Aide. Being able to Help my elders is what I was put on earth for. It's nothing like making sure someone else grandmother or dad/ parents..etc is in good health or progressing every time they visit. Just seeing the smile on my resident/clients family faces warms my heart like no other. Personal achievement I'm proud of is being able to overcome my shyness of being around completely strangers and caring for them when I first started I always felt like a burden. Meeting new people from all over the world, different backgrounds, cultures...etc. I learned a lot being a caregiver. Wouldn't have it any other way.

It started as a favor to a friend when her mother took Ill I was just trying easy the load. By being there with her mother until she made it home. her mother was just please as she was and she was able to keep her dignity because she felt comfortable with me helping her with her personal care. So I have be in this field every since that 06/09/1980 and I still enjoy getting up in the morning and go to work. I'm happy to help family feel more relaxed when their loves ones are take care of in the comfort of there own home. Ihave noticed over the years that people live a lot longer when they are in there home were they rise there children and grandchildren and all the family gathering that was Held them together. Looking forward to doing this for about 15 to 20 more years.

I am loving, understanding and have patience. Taking care of people isn't just a job that pays me money. It is a job that I love doing. If I can help someone accomplish the smallest goal, but it puts the biggest smile on their face then I've done my job.
