My senior care career spans over 23 yrs. As a long distance caregiver for my dad, diagnosed with dementia while living in Minneapolis, I put aside my career in catering and moved him here to live with me. My father survived Alzheimer's disease for 17 yrs., living with me for 10. I am a 21 year old girl who just had a son in October. I am caring and compassionate. As a high school senior I went through an apprenticeship program that sent me through a CNA course at Gateway in Racine. I finished the course and got the certification. This was in 2013 and since then I have allowed my certification to expire. I do have experience as a CNA in a nursing home.
