Hello (Jambo!) I am scholastica, and i'm pleased to make your aquaintance! I've been a senior caregiver/companion for over a decade. Senior safety and dignity are my top priorities. Upon welcoming, I enter the home to enhance their quality of life by way of meeting their short and long-term objectives. I am a great listener and enjoy working with others. I wanted to be a doctor because I wanted to help people. I have since realized that there are other ways to help people. The part I have enjoyed about being a caregiver is the relationships I have made.

I went back to become a caregiver after my grandfather passed. My aunt had a stroke and I helped her until she till she passed. It is just a Passion of mine to give back to the world

Years of experience, I think, makes me an excellent choice to care for your loved ones. The experience has allowed me to be in many different home settings and given me the chance to learn all about what elderly become interested in as they age and begin to be unable to preform their normal daily activities. Aging is a difficult process and sometimes family members are inexperienced with the difficult task of trying to keep anxiety low, especially when dealing with sundowners in the elderly. Patience is a great asset that I've learned to have when dealing with endless questions and misunderstandings the elderly can develop.

Retired from Gwinnett County Schools 30 years of Service, wanted to become a "Caregiver for family members-brother and mom". Helping my clients with their immediate needs such as washing, dressing and maintaining their hygiene, as well as helping them with basic day-to-day or administrative tasks like paying bills. shopping, light house duties, taking to appointments, activities, being their companion. My personal achievement was being "Employee of month several times, 2017 Employee of 'Year Nominee" on School Job. Personal achievement as a "PCA" assisting my client go from rehab back to home after surgery, while they maintain independency .

I became a Caregiver because I love the thought of helping someone in need. I am a firm believer in the Word of God by loving and serving someone who needs the assistance. I wanted to be there for people, to encourage them to have hope for it is the anchor of our souls. What I like about being a Caregiver is that not only are you caring for someone but your getting to know them, building personal relationships, and growing together in the work you do. I also love hearing stories, talking with them, how they were raised, what makes them happy or sad, how life was 50 years ago, what makes them feel appreciated or not appreciated and much more! A personal achievement I am proud of is that I have never been wrote up, got in any kind of trouble, neglected my patients, been fired, I also have had the experience to do medical work in Mexico villages for 2 months with a missionary team I went to school for! I am 21 years old and super outgoing. People who know me ask why I smile so much. I have been a missionary for 2 years on and off, now I am wanting to get back into working. I am a Christian, I am NOT ashamed, and I know because of Christ, He is the reason why I love this work.

I became a CNA because I enjoy caring for the elderly and people in general. I take pride in what I do. I am a very caring and compassionate person and I love to help anyone in anyway that I can. Caring for people has always been my passion and I plan to further my career to become an RN.
