I am a compassionate, trustworthy, and professional Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who provides hourly and live-in care to seniors of all ages and ailments. For the past 15 years, I have dedicated my life to providing quality care to the elderly and others who have expressed their interest in my services. I am familiar with all aspects of patient care and have extensive experience in caring for patients with advanced illnesses such as: Dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson. In addition to providing care to these illnesses, I also provide the following services: Respite care, Hospice care, Incontinence care, Stroke care, Diabetes care, post-Hospital care and all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). In 2004, I re-focused my career into health care by becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and acquiring my State License for both Virginia and Maryland. The decision to go into this field came about after my granddaughter was born and I made the decision to become her Caregiver. I cared for her from birth until her mother made the decision to enroll her in a day care program, and at which time, I decided to focus my attention on taking care of others and joining the Nursing Profession. Because of my past job experiences as a Caregiver and a Senior Care Provider, which I combined with my course work, I am very confident that I can provide excellent services to all clients. I have enhanced my ability to providing compassionate and dedicated care to others and have worked diligently to provide excellence in all my professional endeavors and, have earned a reputation for my results driven work ethic; I have also received frequent commendations from patients and their families for providing exceptional care and have received employee awards for dedication and performance as a caregiver, because caring for others has always been my passion since childhood.

I am caring, friendly, warm, professional, hard worker who is dedicated and an efficient team player.What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I treat my clients with respect, I listen to their needs and wants and I do all that I can to give them the good service and care that they need.I believe in treating my clients the way that I would want to be treated. I do all that I can to be attentive, supportive, empathetic towards their needs and wishes.

Throughout my life, I have held many positions that placed another's well-being in my hands. And I love it! I am a mother of three children, I have taught Sunday schools, classes for children with special needs, and have even taken others into my home for long periods of time. Additionally, I have been taking care of my elderly sister for the past 10 years. Particularly, it has been the time spent with my children and my sister that has helped me realize that being a caretaker is my calling. For me, true joy is making someone smile, hearing them laugh, and seeing the gratitude in their eyes when they look at me. It's the greatest reward that I can receive, and it's the reason why I care not just with my head but with my heart. To be cared for takes bravery, it means being fully vulnerable with your caretaker and in my experience, it's when people are like that that you can best connect with them. Some of my strongest relationships have been with those who allowed me to care for them, and it's those connections, those conversations in truth and openness, that have enriched my life and changed me for the better. I am a great caregiver because I am passionate about providing excellent care to others. The fact that I enjoy caring for others and learning anew everyday attracted me to being a caregiver. I most enjoy connecting with different people in a meaningful way that leaves a great impact on the individual. A personal achievement that I am proud of is becoming a certified EMT.

I am a current nursing student with extensive background and training in caregiving. In 2017, I received my certification as a Patient Care Tech. In that role I have had the pleasure of caring for all types of people ranging from home bound to rehab facilities.

I am at energetic, helpful, young lady with a lot of experience with nursing home, hospital, and Group home skills. I have a one year old son and i am a full time student as well.

When my husband and I relocated to Henderson County two years ago, we found ourselves in a very different world from the New York City area where we lived and worked for thirty years. Starting over again was an exciting but stressful endeavor. I looked around me to see where I could fit into my community and decided that my values and experience might make me a good caregiver. I signed up with a local agency in July of 2012 and have been working as a senior caregiver since then. Some of my client duties have been light house cleaning, helping to organize medication schedules, running errands, providing transportation, and light cooking. I have also aided clients with a minimal amount of personal care, such as standing by for showers and helping with dressing and grooming. Some of my clients have had issues with loss of short term memory and early stages of dementia. I feel that I have been instrumental in keeping these people happy, safe and organized despite this handicap. It has been gratifying, providing these services, but the nicest part of my work has been developing trust and affection between my clients and myself. I am also very interested in having a good relationship with clients' family and friends, so that we can behave as a strong social support for these individuals. I am trained as a caregiver and enjoy spending my time caring for others. I am warm and kindhearted when caring for others. I have a flexible schedule and I am available for last minute work.

I have needed a caregiver when i was younger due to a fatal car crash.i was a passenger. So i in turn got involved in caregiving and physical therapy. I cared for my dad and aunt when they became ill. It is just a part of me now.
