loving caring and patient these words describes me in three words, assisting someone should not be a burden although sometime our job can be challenging I mostly see further than my task ' what if the table was to turn and I was in that particular patient's place how would I want to be cared for? that is my model. Every case and challenges are different that keeps me going, last but not least what I have realize many of us have to remember dealing with people is never an easy task especially if they are sick, my achievement from my duty is the smile that I get every time patient/consumer and I can accomplish a task they can come to a calm, peace after a long day seeing their confidence shine.

Became a caregiver 18 years ago just to take the class. Once I got started in the field I realized that I enjoyed caring for people. Not only do you give back but you receive a greater gift. Respect of others. Knowledge of another. I enjoy provided assistance to those who need it or just want it.

Caregiving sort of choose me, a gift that God instilled in me. As a child my grandpa would have me check in the elders in the community. I found myself looking forward to spending time with them and helping them. I learned alot including cultural diversity. Through different job choices and educational experiences, I've always come back to homehealth, being the person I would love to take care of me as I navigate through the stages of life. 25 years later and this career gives me a sincere desire to give the respect and gratitude that I contribute.

I am a great caregiver because I love what I do and i am a nurturer. I love taking care of senior citizens and others who cannot take care of themselves.. . I became a caregiver when my mother got sick. My mother always taught me to treat others the way I would like to be treated... I love being a caregiver because I can directly influence someone's life in a very good way... I enjoy giving senior citizens companionship and getting to know them and their life experiences... My personal achievement was entering in a bikini competition.. There is so much that goes into competing because, I have to exhibit the discipline for training everyday. Also, exude confidence to pose for the judges and hundreds of strangers.
