What makes me a great giver is that I am reliable, trustworthy, flexible and I have patience, empathy and compassion in what I am doing. My passion and drive is to help others. I enjoy putting a simple smile on someone's face and to reinsure that someone is there for them. A personal achievement that always makes me proud is just being available to someone who feels no one is. I have been working on off as a caregiver while working on going back to school for occupational therapy. Due to issues with prerequisites I had to leave the program I was in so I am looking for work while I am completing those prerequisites. I have worked with people with disabilities and with elderly and dementia clients. I have experience with bathing, dressing, transferring with both use of a gait belt and hoyer lift. I was attracted by this job because my mom had a client that she was talking care off and I would always go with her and help her take care of the individual I had alot of fun helping people and learning in the process-The most things o enjoy is cooking if I have too I love to cook,reading to them and taking them for walks and I am proud of myself and everything that I've accomplished and reaching all my goals ..

I am a very patient person. Having cared for my own family members and tending to their needs is what got me started doing this. Older people need help and care as the age and I am here to address all those concerns. I have learned so much from the seniors I have cared for. They have each brought great joy and satisfaction to my life in being able to help them. I have a lot of experience in Alzheimer and Dementia. Also experienced with Diabetics. I have worked as a senior caretaker for many years. I have stayed with each of my positions until the families no longer were able to use my services. I I am available full time or whatever hours are needed. I recently finished my last position and am now available again. If you are need of someone who needs a parent or a loved one cared for, then I'm your lady. Caring for and seeing someone we love grow older or sick is not easy on anyone. Having the right person help in caring for them is huge. I have time & a lot of knowledge & patience with seniors.
