I am a college graduates with many goals and I love providing home caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing and not only it makes them feel good but it also makes me feel like I've achieve something. Meeting new people and providing caregiving services that they can no longer do for themselves is something I enjoy doing. I have worked with many home care agencies and private cases. I like that they follow up with clients and caregivers to make sure we are all compatible and happy.

I am a certified HHA, I have 5 years experience been a caregiver. I enjoy my job as a caregiver because I love to help out seniors, the reason I choose this jobs because before my grandaunt passed away I was her caregiver and at that moment I realized this was the job for me, so I decided to get certified. Am a great caregiver because i have patient, reliable, trustworthy, flexible, empathy and compassion. I always make my patient smile no matter what there going through.

I am a compassionate caring person who loves taking care of senior's. I started out as a Caregiver 4 years ago. I realized I wanted to be able to help my clients more so I went for more training to get my PCA certificate. I was 16 years old when I volunteered to work in a nursing home that's when I knew I wanted to help and be around seniors. I learned a lot about life from them. My grandmother had Alzheimer's. I learned a lot about Alzheimer's. and now I can apply my skills I have learned during the time my grandmother lived with us. I enjoy my job and love working with seniors. I would love to become a caregiver because I have a heart to give back my blessings. The most thing I like about being a caregiver is meeting new people, and actually learning something from history from them. Honestly my personal achievement that I am proud of is getting my certificate for a nurse assistant I had a few attempts that didn't progress but I kept fighting for it, I took it upon myself to go out of town and take courses for it. I am a 22-year-old college student that is going to college for communications, I'm a very friendly person, I have no kids but I've been here in Long Island taking care of my grand aunt, and now that she is better I still want to continue taking care of people. I'm very empathy and compassion. By showing both empathy and compassion is a way to let the person know that I care about them and I can whatever it takes to help them. Some of the best traits I thank God for giving me as a caregiver is the fact that I have patience, I'm very trustworthy, I'm dependable. What really attracted me to being a caregiver is the fact that I like doing work that has potential to make a difference in someone's life and I also I enjoy taking care of elderly because I used to take care of my grandmother and grandfather before they passed always and I used to enjoy it. I like the fact that I'm able to help my clients with all my heart and I'm always willing to do whatever it takes to make them feel welcome with me and smile. 4 years ago I used to take care of a patient and she suffered from seizure so she usually had seizure regularly and i never negligence leaving her by herself. As a result, I usually with her and I always make sure that she sits somewhere that I can see her. And I always make sure she sits in a sofa somewhere low and not too high for her. Unfortunately she ended up in the nursing home because of her health condition so I would usually go and see her. What makes me proud is the fact that before she passed away she was actually talking about people that she loves and her daughter told me that I was one of them.

I'm an empty nester having raised six children. I'm very strong, able to handle clients who arent mobile, or steady on their feet. I love to talk and listen to stories from years gone by. Love ancestry and culture, current affairs, travel. I coached two high school varsity teams for twelve years and took care of my family. I always worked hard to put food on the table.

Hello, my name is Yarlene and I dedicate a lot of my time to helping others. I first started with a Patient who was on a vent and had a traumatic brain injury. He was responsive only with his eyes but smiled if you told him a really good joke. He recently passed away but lived that way for 25 years. With the 5 years of taking care of him he never got a bed sore I believe he was happy as he could be. I gave him my all and I'm hoping he's up in heaven dancing his life away as he should be. I enjoy making people smile and keeping them occupied. I had a patient who lived until 99 and she was amazing. We did so many activities from baking to doing a word search or taking a stroll around the block. Being a caregiver isn't only about caring for there needs, its about giving them there lives back and making them feel great. I became a home health aid because i love helping others, i love making them smile and making them feel that there still capable of doing anything there heart desires. I go to school at Nassau community college now and will be transferring to Farmingdale State college to get my nursing degree. I also work at NYU Winthrop hospital as a nurse assistant. Caring for patient and the patients family is what makes me a great care giver because I know how I would want someone to take extraordinary care of me or one of my family members if I was in the same position. I am an extremely up beat, cheerful, hyperactive person who enjoys to interact with patients even if it's just to make their day. The thing I enjoy most about being a care giver is knowing that I made the patients day better and brighter with smiles by me giving 100% all the time.
