I am a chiropractor and massage therapist and many times I have helped out my clients in times of need!I I like to be in the home setting and I am a very good cook! taking care of people is part of my job!

I am a very loving and caring person. I pride myself on being dedicated, and hard working. A job is not just a job to me. I have worked for families in the past and consider them to be family.

1. I become a caregiver because I realize that being there for someone who's ill, and caring for this person is a wonderful mean that I can contribute to this person's health recovery. In addition, I consider health to be the greatest treasure that someone can possess. 2. What I like about being a caregiver is that I really enjoy working with various type of patients or clients. They have different type of illness and their needs are all unique to that particular patient. I learned from them too. 3. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is that I am currently in a nursing program and I feel that is a blessing to be a part of. 4. I am a very caring and compationate person. I really love being a caregiver and I enjoy doing it because I do it with all my heart.

About two years ago my grandmother was diagnosed with stomach cancer. It really hit home hard because the doctors told us there was nothing we can do.At the time i was in college so balancing school and her sickness was taking a toll on me. Although, the doctors told us her time was limit i knew i had to enjoy the time i had with her and just be strong for her and be there when she needed me. The cancer spread fast and she got worse by the weeks. In and out of the hospital I knew she did not have long. She would have trouble eating, walking, seeing and even speaking. I would try to feed her as much as she could although it wasn't much I knew she needed energy. I would also try to help her walk around so she get her legs to move and not lay in bed all day. I would try to talk to her as much as i can but she would get tired easily. Her last days in the hospital I would stay long hours just to help her with her needs and be there for her. I felt like it was my job to just show her a slight of hope that everything will be okay not because i had to, because i knew in my heart it was the right thing to do. After my grandma passed away I knew she would have been thankful and proud for everything I done for her. This showed me to be a better person and help the ones that really need it. I became a caregiver because I love being able to help people. I'm a very loving and caring person and I'm also in college right now working on my degree to become a registered nurse. It makes me happy to make other people happy and I know I'm in the right field and that's health care .

After my grandmother's accident, she had a stroke n her right arm. i was expected to give her care for an extended period of time. i find joy in taking care of her the task was not easy however it put a smile on my face knowing when i bath, fed, or do anything else for her she was comfortable and happy. i also have a passion for health care, i would like to be a nurse, Im currently in college taking the prerequisites towards the nursing program, therefore i though to myself that home health aid is a great place to start. my biggest joy of of a care giver comes in the comfortably of my client/individual.

I have always enjoyed helping people and making them smile. I have worked in various fields from education to retail, as well as with various age groups, and the common thread has always been my desire to be of service to others. The aspect that I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is helping those who are not in the position to help themselves. It is very rewarding knowing that my time is spent helping someone's day to be lived in the most comfortable environment possible. I am most proud of getting accepted in to the nursing program at the college I attend. It is a very competitive program to get into, and intensive to stay into. I will complete my RN program in 2016. One thing about myself that should be noted is my compassion. In an industry where peoples happiness and comfort is basically in your hands, as a caregiver I think compassion is one of the most important traits you can possess. It is not enough to do this line of work simply because you are qualified to do so. It is important that the people who do this line of work get their reward from the joy that they bring to others.

My name is Shaquanna vickers and I became a certified home health aide in the year of 2013. The reason I started in the health business is my grandfather has Parkinson's and all I wanted to do was take him of him. Properly. Being able to care for someone that can't care for themselves is nothing shorter than a blessing. I've experienced with helping others it only makes you a better person. It makes you stronger to be able to carry the burden of others.I plan on moving up in the medical field as far as CNA and then eventually being a LPN. I love the medical field it's just a great filed to work in.

I am CPR and BLS certified. I genuinely enjoy care giving as there is no greater feeling than knowing that at the end of the day, you were able to make a difference in someones day.

After five years of volunteering at nursing facilities during my teens, I fell in love with spending time with seniors so I became a geriatrics nurse. I enjoyed my time as a charge nurse and a supervisor for the Beatitudes, but stopped to raise a family. I have continued to miss my contact with seniors and I occasionally take on clients. With my nursing background and deep respect and genuine interest in giving companionship and basic care for those in need, I am able to provide my clients with excellent service.
