I became a caregiver because I love to see a smile on a patient face when you do something for them that they needed help in. People might say, wow 21 years old seems to be young taking care of a person double their age, But coming from the lifestyle I grew up with I feels makes me a young individual with potential not like many, since as long as I can remember, I been taking care of my mother. The age of 11 years old, Giving her medication, reminding her of doctor appointments, helping her organize her papers, making sure to keep updated on her health condition ECT.. my mother being as sick as she is inspired me to be a person to assist in elderly folks, and folks with disabilitys and diseases they are in need of a caregiver, my childhood being as hectic as it is made me the person I am today, I served in the united states marines, so my main objective is to help and protect. I have been told I am an inspiration to a lot of people, but in my mind I think I should be doing much more then I am today, me being the age of 21, I'm on a mission to achieve goals that many people my age don't have, and that's to impact the society today. I enjoy this line of work because not only am i building a strong long term bond with sick or individuals in need of assistance, but i'm impacting their lifes to the best of my abilitys, being 21 and married, is very young but i am unique. My mother in law is a blind diabetic patient on dialisys that needs help around the clock, since no one is avaible during the day, i stepped up to the plate to perform the duties of helping her. My traits at my age is very differed from the average 21 year old, and thats dedication, hard working, not a quitter, and a moviated young individual, with long term goals.

Hello my name is summer Wright. I'm a very sweet , caring 22 year old with 4 years experience with elders . Alot of my clients love me because I'm very nice, funny , and get a lot of things done around the house. I genuinely care for the wellness of people I am very helpful with all daily activity's of living. Dressing , showering , meal prep , appointments , medication reminding , cleaning , providing conversation and company. I have two great clients at this time but I am moving from New York to Roanoke Virginia June 8 and will be providing care for new clients . Hopefully I will find a place that feels right at home with a client who is very nice, preferably with friendly involved family members who check up and are present when needed.

I have a 34 year old disabled son that we have been taking care of his whole life, as he has grew into an adult we were met with challenges that no one ever told us to expect. Everyday is a battle but also a learning experience. I gave up my career after 26 years at one employer to take care of my son as his caregiver because we did not TRUST employees who were sent into our home to work with our son but who physically hurt him. It was the toughest decision I ever made in my life but also the BEST decision because I have learned so much in that time. I really enjoy seeing the client being successful at everything they accomplish. If nothing major was accomplished today then okay we start again tomorrow and we continue. I understand that sometimes the client will never accomplish things as our son is one of them. He or they should have a fun filled life were they are treated like a human being with love and respect. My youngest son went off and graduated From Appalachian State would be my proudest moment of my life, as for me every day is a battle and we never know what is right around the corner, I am proud that we have been able to keep our oldest son right were he belongs with his family.
