Oldest of five, involved in there care. My great grandparents live to far away for me to help them so I would like the opportunity to help someone else's grandparents the way that there caregivers helped mine. I am a very bubbly outgoing person who can speak and carry meaningful conversation with people of all ages. I love kids and the elderly. Something I am most proud of is being an exchange student in high school and learning German while living in Germany. After being in an elementary school classroom for the past 4 years, I found my position cut because the program I helped implement did not receive the funding for the 2014-2015 school year. I have always enjoyed working with children but I have also truly enjoyed working with elderly clients as well. My mom is a full time nurse and has had a few private duty positions in which she assists with food prep, errands, taking clients to appointments/stores and ADL's. I have taken care of one of her clients when she was not able to be there; I cooked meals, ran errands, helped her get prepared (bathed, dressed), and was there to provided companionship for the day/evenings. I enjoy helping people and feeling that I have made a difference (even if it is spending time with someone to avoid feelings of loneliness). I have experience working with a child with special needs (medication administration, feeding tube administration/cleaning). I am very responsible and reliable. I am available on short notice and have a clean background check (that is up to date) as well as reliable transportation (and insurance). I look forward to hearing from you and helping your family!
