What attracted me to being a caregiver was being able to help individuals who need it but want to live in the comfort of their own home. As a caregiver, it's more than just a paycheck to me. I take my job seriously and being able to be a help to someone is a blessing in itself. I initially decided that I wanted to be a caregiver when I took care of my dad after he became ill. The best part about being a caregiver is being able to assist someone in accomplishing their daily tasks. Hello I will like to begin by saying I have been in this medical field for over 30+ years I started working in nursing homes as a state, tested nursing assistant I currently work with a mentally challenge, and the reason why I became a caregiver as I love to help I love the elderly and I love them only challenge I just have a heart and passion for it. Also, my mother was a RN so I get a lot of caring for people from her personal achievement that I accomplish was becoming my own independent provider. Also, I enjoy learning being CPR first aid med certification, 12 and three and the most I enjoy about it is just caring and making a difference in someone's life.
