I started caring for my mom's neighbor in 1989 and enjoyed my work so much that I became a Certified Caregiver in 2005 in .Arizona and started working with memory care facilities. Now I enjoy working one on one with clients. I like making a difference and being able to help others. When I first started with my mom's neighbor she needed someone to walk with her when she walked. I was able to help her gain back some of her independance. She was able to walk on her own around the house.We even started going to the grocery store and shop at other stores. I am efficient and like things orderly and can stick to a schedule. Yet I can be spontaneous and love to cook. I do my best to remember I am a guest in your home. I care for you and your things as I would want someone to care for me and my things in my home.

I became a caregiver because when I was 17, my paternal grandmother became sick with Alzheimers and I would help my mom take care of her. I enjoyed helping take care of her. I now care for a little boy, whom I have grown to love as my own. I enjoy my job very much. I have been told that I have a very big heart and I have always loved taking care of others. I also have two children, a 13 year old daughter and a 9 year old son. They are my whole world and my heart.

I became a caregiver because i wanted to be able to help people who couldn't help themselves. What I am most proud of was my ability to finish school with honors in a course that i enjoyed so much, thus convincing me to get my caregivers licenses. I believe that caring and giving come natural for me, its always been my first two instincts, which make me a good happy fun and loving caregiver. I became a caregiver twenty four years ago. My grandma was a diabetic, she taught my sister and I how to care for her as well as others, she also educated us, I loved it. Still to this day I enjoy helping those who cannot help themselves. Last year my mom had a stroke and after moving to her home to assist her with ADL's I realized how important is to have someone to who you trust to be taking care of your loved one. My goal is to serve the senior population with compassion, respect and patience.
