Growing up as a child I always wanted to be a nurse.I would always play doctor and nurse caring for my little friends.As I got older I followed my passion which is patient care ,and enrolled in a nursing program.I am a CNA,CPR Bls certified with over 8 years of caregiving experience in the vicinities of home,nursing homes also hospitals.I love to give back to others by helping and caring for them or even making myself available.

I became a caregiver to help my brother and his family. I have been blessed with help from people throughout my life and love when I have the opportunity to help others. I worked in a physical therapy clinic for 8 years and am an ACSM certified personal trainer starting an in-home personal training business. I believe my training and experience in both these fields will help me in my work as a caregiver.

I am a caring compassionate person with the ability to understand people from all aspects of life. I have my own light that seems to shine to others that I am around. I'm a 43 year old woman with decades of good experience in all capacities of care giving. I had been caring for people and animals all my life. It gives me joy and a sense of self worth to help someone or something & to make someone's day brighter, ease the pain and put a smile on their heart is what I shrive to do.

I began my study in the science of nursing, applied myself academically, received scholarships and graduated with honors because I wanted a good job with the opportunity for growth and advancement. This is the statement many people use in the cover letter of a resume without understanding what it really means. During my tours of duty I had the pleasure of working with a diverse population of people who taught me everything I know today. I learned to listen, be prudent, patient, empathetic and humble, and build trusting relationships. I didn't learn this from professors in college, instructors during clinical rotations, nor preceptors who oriented me to a new health care position. I learned from our seniors who struggle with dementia, our children who struggle with genetic disease syndrome, and our family, friends and neighbors who struggle with mental illness. I have been blessed with the opportunity to work in the areas of geriatric, pediatric, and behavioral health nursing. The people in my care revealed to me without saying a word that the good job with the opportunity for growth and advancement that I was looking for was with me the whole time. I was the good job that needed to be done, and I have people like your loved ones to thank for that. Early in my career as a registered nurse I decided to focus on home care because it was depressing to be surrounded by sick people who had to wait for pain medication, and help with meals, bathing, grooming, and toileting, and I couldn't help all of them. Home care affords me the time to focus on my actual employer's business at hand. That is your loved one's needs and concerns. Hello everyone, my name is Janet, I've always been passionate about my work & helping others whenever I can. I have spent many yrs working within the hospital setting. I gained personal experience & awareness of what issues & concerns are to often overlooked in a hospital setting & leaving despair & frustration once the person goes home. The experience & skills I have gathered from working in the medical industry for years have propelled me to help out where I can help improve the care & have a positive impact in someone's life while in their home setting. I treat others with kindness, respect & compassion as if they were my own family. I've helped care for clients needing assistance in Alzheimer's, dementia, & hospice care needs. The sincere appreciation & personal gratification I feel is overwhelming high, knowing that I've made a positive impact in the life of another. My greatest strength as a caregiver is the sincere compassion that I will devote to your loved one. My first experience in geriatric care came when my grandparents became ill and required a hospice nurse. Taking on that role allowed me to develop an intimate understanding of the personal needs of my patients, foremost among them being the dignity and respect with which I believe every human being has an inherent right to recieve throughout the later stages of life. I was honored to help facilitate a hospice plan that allowed my grandparents to live and ultimately pass away in the home that they shared together, regardless of their advanced illness. I am proud to say that I am staunchly committed to bringing the same level of dedicated quality of care to all of my patients. I treat each individual under my care as if they were my own family, and pledge to do more than simply attend to their physical and ambulatory needs - I always ensure that my charges are given attention and conversation; kept engaged in activities and pastimes that they enjoy in order to promote a happy and fulfilling lifestyle in spite of their individual limitations. Working with the elderly is a constant reminder to me that there's no acceptable reason that people shouldn't be empowered to live well and retain as much independence as possible as they age. I'm a 27 year old young lady who love what I do. I love helping people rather their older or young I have a really big heart I treat everyone as if their family. Working with my great grandmother once she started to decline was one of the main reasons I wanted to become a caregiver also my mom have been I. The medical field for over 20 years so I followed her foot steps. I love making people happy one of my main goals of being a caregiver. I'm currently in school for nursing which has been an accomplishment so far.

I became a caregiver because I have a deep passion for the care industry. Watching and learning for my mother who has been an RN for the past 30 years taking care of the elderly deepened my passion. For the past 6 years I have had extensive experience as a personal care aid working in different sectors and environments from nursing homes, private duty, private home care, in home health care and hospitals. I am currently attending college pursuing my nursing degree as an honors student. Caring for others is not only a deep passion but it is I believe my purpose as well.
