I enjoy being able to help others. I feel very happy knowing that I was able to make another individuals life a little easier. By being that ear of listening and understanding or just someone to be there to comfort. I enjoy walking, listening to nature, reading,painting and spending time traveling with my family.

I started in home care when I was 16 after that I knew I wanted to be a nurse .. I love helping people and love being around Elderly .and people in general .. I love hearing about people's history and culture of the days gone by hearing their stories as they relive their glory days

Greetings family members and loved ones. I have been a Private Duty caregiver for the past five years. I am seeking a care giving position that will allow to provide skilled nursing care. I have provided care for families with Dementia, Cancer, Diabetes, Hypertension, and immobility conditions. I cared for patients who were bed bound, had skin ulcers, and provided hospital visitations. Other job duties I perform are bathing/perineal care, dressing/grooming, personal hygiene, meal preparations, general house cleaning, light laundry, medication reminders, companion care, Live-in, and Local errands.

One of the most important skills that a successful health care aide possesses is patience. Many patients that health care aides assist may be dealing with severe illnesses. There may be several unpleasant tasks that they may have to deal with.

I have an innate sense of selflessness and empathy. I have experience, training and I'm reliable. I am accountable of my actions and honest. I became a caregiver when my grandmother became ill,I saw how one lady mistreated her. So I took on caring for her. I've always enjoyed helping people so I know I'm doing the right thing. I enjoy the opportunity to impact clients lives and make a difference to them. I appreciate getting to know the clients and their families. My personal achievement I'm proud of is being a single mother that raised her kids, that graduated and attended college.

I believe I make a great caregiver because I genuinely care about people. I care about the level of care they receive, and I care about them being well taken care of. I believe each person has a right to be happy and taken care of, as a caregiver it is my job to help achieve that. I have always had a caregiver's heart and started volunteering at a hospice service while I was in high school. I then took that love I had for taking care of people and applied it to my education. I have received my CNA and I am working on obtaining my RN. What attracts me most to this line of work is the satisfaction of knowing you helped someone who needed you, and that you help make their life easier.
