I worked in banking for five years for a small community bank. A large portion of our clients were seniors and elderly. It's the joy that I got from the day to day interaction with them that made me transition to this type of work. I've have been fortunate to care for a lovely client with dementia for the past 8yrs and I can say it's truly the most fulfilling experience I've had. Recently she passed but she will forever be in my heart. It takes a level of love and patience and compassion to do this kind of job. I think that I embody those qualities. I bring with me all the knowledge and skills that I have gained from caring for someone with dementia, mobility issues, incontinence, diabetes, high blood pressure and more. I engage in light physical activity/movement, mental exercises, manage medication and stay on top of doctor's appointment to ensure all health issues stay under control.
