I love taking genuine care of people, not just wanting to get paid! I believe people should be treated currently with care and love!

I like being a caregiver because I love helping and am on my way to be a nurse (b.s.n) I would like to have more experience in general dealing with elders since am doing a healthy profession to honor my late grandparents.

4 years ago I became a caregiver and the reason was BC my grandmother had gotten sick n need my care n for there on I enjoyed helping elderly with their daily adls BC I understood that they weren't able to do things on there own n I love to have a bond with them n show them the love on a daily n that I do care.

Hello Everyone! My desire to work with the elderly began when my grandparents both became ill. My grandfather had Alzheimer's and my grandmother had Parkinson's. I moved in with them for over a year to help take care of them. My experience with them included arranging doctors visits, transportation, meal preparing, shopping, housecleaning, administering medication, bathing, exercising and keeping that wonderful light shining in them. My experience of having family that needed care and seeing first hand of the care out there, I wanted to continue working with the elderly. My passion has always been to help others. I have been attending college part-time to complete all my prerequisites for nursing school. While attending school, I have been working for a client's elderly mother for 2 years.
