Hello, The reason why I decided to become a caregiver is to care for those who need extra company and care in their lives. Some of the treats I've been told I have that make me a good caregiver is being patient kind that those around me often come to for a laugh or good listen. An achievement of mine that I hold dear is the continuous thank you's I receive after volunteering at our daily bread for the past couple of months.

Hello. My name is Amy. I was a fine arts teacher in Texas working with teenagers and adults for 25 years. Seven years ago I moved to California and decided to change careers, working with seniors this time, helping them to have a better quality of life. As a senior caregiver for the last 5 years most of my clients have remained in their homes to receive care, but I've also helped some in assisted living facilities and hospitals. I have experience working with seniors who have had Alzhiemer's disease, dementia, memory impairment, visual and hearing deficits, end stage cancer as well as those who need short term assistance while healing from various injuries and surgeries. I am a very empathetic, kind-hearted and compassionate person who loves to help others. I prefer working part time and daytime shifts. I am fully vaccinated and boosted. I became a caregiver to help, Honestly that's all I wanted to do was help anyone whom couldn't t help themselves. My mother passed from Cancer, I took care of her until that day. I enjoy taking care of people, making sure they have what they need and that they are being cared for properly.

Hi, My name is Maurie Ann. I earned a Bachelor's degree and completed the 15 hours of course work needed to work as a nursing facility administrator. I have been a caregiver since I was 7 years old. I have cared for both of my grandmothers, friends, neighbors, and many other clients. I also have worked 15 years in security. So, I have a very protective nature. I have cared for clients with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, Heart Disease, COPD, AFIB, MS, Diabetes with and without insulin, Full assist, standby assist, live in and live out. I am a super friendly, caring, hardworking, problem solver, who loves deeply. I see my clients as family and treat them with the love and respect that I would want for my own loved ones. I got into private care because I saw what my grandma went thru (they nearly killed her) in her short stay at a rehab and vowed to make a difference in her life and others by caring for them, allowing them to stay home and be as independent, safe, and happy as possible. I am the friend, daughter, granddaughter, and helper. I do live-in at $225 per day, or shift work at $20 per hour (preferably 12 to 16 hour shifts). I'm a caring, considerate, spiritual, and a very humble individual who has a fond for helping others. I've been a Certified Nurse Assistant for four years now, and I love to make a difference and a positive influence in people's lives. For 3 years, I worked at a nursing home and transitioned to assisted living where I was able to assist the elderly with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene. I worked in a hospital setting for 6 months, and I enjoyed seeing and meeting different people with contrast personalities who came from different backgrounds. Now, I'm currently working the field of hospice. I enjoy every single moment because I'm able to form a relationship with each patient I come in contact with. At first, I thought I wasn't going to be able to do this job because, eventually, my patient will pass, but I began to look at the positive side, which is that I, at least, get to make sure my patient is happy and comfortable in his or her last days. I enjoy what I do, and I hope that I will have the opportunity to touch more lives.

Hello everyone, my name is Amelia. I've been a caregiver for about 3 years. I've worked with men and women with Dementia, Alzheimer's as well as Parkinson disease. I am available to work full time. I am available Monday through Friday and weekends. I prefer to work live out and over night. I love singing, doing exercise, puzzles, and word finds. I was attracted into being a caregiver because I love making older people smile and knowing that they are taken care of properly.
