I work for a place called Texana at the moment doing Night Shift where I work with older mentally challenged people doing all there basic needs. However I love my job! I love getting to hear great stories they tell and getting to talk to them about there day. I plan to further my education in home health or a CNA. I first started as a caregiver for a gentleman in a local assistant living facility as needed. I continued after he passed with a job in Victoria for about 2 years at a local nursing facility working with Dementia, Alzheimer's, bed ridden and patients that just needed assistant with everyday living. In 2011 I enrolled at a nursing home facility for their onsite CNA class. After training and completing the state test I continued working there after at the same facility for several months until I was employed with a staffing agency where I would travel within a 250 mile radius working at different types of facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, assistant living facilities. I have enjoyed helping other that need services. I absolutely love getting to know patients and treating each client with respect and dignity as I would my own parents.
