I am an extrovert, always smiling & seldom sit! If I can add a smile to someone's day or make them feel special, then both of us will have a rewarding day! I was a pediatric ophthalmology specialist in Canada; when we were transferred to the USA, I began a food manufacturing company. A friend approached me in 2015 to ask if I would help with their mum who was near vegetative status due to progressing dementia and being alone. Four months later, this beautiful Lady was walking, singing, dancing, and cooking with me - one of the most self-gratifying endeavors of my life. Now living in the beautiful hill country, retirement is not satisfying - I do volunteer at the VA hospital just to see these heroes smile, laugh & have someone to listen to them... and of course plenty of hugs! I would treasure being able to help another person find enjoyment in life. I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where I have one-on-one interactions with others. I have recently had to step-up to care for my aging mother and would like to help others in this way. I love older adults and feel that I can get along with a variety of elders.

I am a very low key and easy going individual. I have been working extensive with my mother, who has Parkinson's disease. I have helped her by driving her to and from doctors appointments, with bathing, toileting, getting dressed and preparing meals. I enjoy being with people and helping with their daily lives. I plan to try to continue my education by attending Houston Community College and working toward a degree in Occupational Therapy.

Business ethics I was doing Uber and Lyft beside my regular job, and I have been able to identified when someone need assistance, such as help to get in or out of car. During my driving I meet someone that I pick up from a hospital that i had to get out of my car to push his wheelchair. In less than 2 min, he told me how much help he needed to move around. I knowledge his frustration that he wasn't able to find help to assist him. When I dropped him off, I had to push him to his apartment, and as soon he opened the door, it was obvious his conversation. As Uber and Lyft drivers, we shouldn't exchange information, however, I compromise to ask one of my friends if he can help out. Since my friend wasn't able to help, the same day late at night, I asked him what kind of help he need most, and he told me desperate; all my close is duty, I can't reach into the washer, my caregiver got sick and hasn't return since two weeks. I said, ok. I can help to do that, so right the next day, Sunday morning I was there at 8am. This is a long story that I should write a book about it, but as this one, I had other stories that my instinct as human been comes out without looking for rewards. Therefore I'm broke because money is the last thing I think about it when someone needs my help. Pretty much that is my personal achievement, help others without waiting nothing on return. However, if I don't drive because I spent time helping others, then how i will survive myself, and take care of my family too.
