I went to school to be a nursing assistant when I was in my late 40's because straight out of college I got married (32 years now!) and had two daughters. AFTER the youngest one graduated from high school in 2010, I was then able to pursue my real dream of getting certified to be able to care for clients and hopefully make their lives a bit better!

I am an upbeat and positive individual who believes that each day is the best day ever! I became a caregiver when my husband, mother and father all became ill and needed care. Their care ranged from physical needs, to needs due to dementia. I wanted to be the one there with them to care for them. However, when I couldn't be there with them full time, as I needed to work, I was blessed to have found the most wonderful caregiver in the world to care for them. She treated my loved ones as family, and cared for them with love, compassion and dignity. It is now my privilege to be able to share that gift with other families that I care for. I enjoy the companionship and helping those who are in their most vulnerable state., and caring for them with dignity and compassion. A personal achievement that I am proud of is graduating from college with a degree in Psychology at the age of 47!

Raising a child with special needs, and working with special needs clients for the last few years bring me such great joy. To see individuals learn something new and help them achieve their goals made me have a passion for caring for others. I feel my greatest achievement of all was obtaining my Bachelor's and Master's Degree all while being a single mother and raising a child with special needs. Seeing my children growing and thriving because of all of my hard work and dedication makes me know that anything is possible, and I'm exactly where I need to be in my life helping other people.

I am a retirement age caregiver in ideal health. Very active and seeking part time positions. All of my senior clients since 2013 were from 6 months to three years of care.

Hello I'm semi retired and and have been in the Hill Country over 25 years. I am now ready to help out the community with my services. I have 3 dogs , one cat, one bird and 5 chickens. Hi there! I am a natural caregiver. I went straight to into the medical field and always seemed to work in the operating room/surgery field as clinical staff as well as a manager. I have managed to keep my two children alive and well and proud to say I am a their mother! My son is at Texas A&M and my daughter is officially a high school senior! As far as careers, I changed from the clinical side to the legal/medical malpractice side. I have extensive in-home and private caretaker experience. I have also handled sick pets and children, so nothing is impossible! Characteristics: Humorous, compassionate, caring, kind-natured loyal and loving. Having retired from Corporate America, I am not able to use my free time to help people. I like people. I am a good listener - am dependable - am calm and understanding.

I am kind hearted and love to look after others. My grandmother has had a caregiver ever since I was a very young little girl. I always loved going over to her house and keeping her company talking about my daily activities and telling her what I would learn in school, till this day when I go back home to visit I still find myself going to her house and telling her about my college experiences. I noticed how my parents and aunts and uncle would take care of her when her caregiver was never around and it was great seeing all the family together as one helping out another family member in need. I want to be able to help other families like that it makes my heart fill up with love knowing there are families like mine that will come together to help one another in need. Although, I know I am not really apart of your family I would love to become one! I like knowing that my companionship and my help truly means something to someone that really wants me there by their side. I love to clean and cook and make the environment feel like a loving home. I am a responsible young adult who likes to get things done when needed too. A personal achievement that I am proud to have done would be the trust I gained from my grandmother, I was able to show her that I could also help her in ways that her sons and daughters help her out. I was capable of doing the exact same things they did too and it took a while to show her that but in the end it was worth the wait.

My experience includes 10+ years of in-home caregiving and most recently one year supporting physically and developmentally disabled individuals in group homes. I also have background in teaching children. I'm certified First-Aid and Medication Aid thru my employer. I have Pre-Nursing courses completed and will shortly have CNA on way to Registered Nurse.
