It's been over 4 years now when my 92 year mom fell & broke her hip. I then moved in with her and took care of her with help from my sisters. Taking her to doctor appointments and then we found out she has dementia. Mom is doing wonderful now. She has 2 other health care with her & I am scheduled for Friday nights until Monday morning. I do all the necessary work to make her comfortable and happy. I take her on trips to see my brother in Colorado 2 times a year. She loves to go anywhere & shop for groceries. I enjoy my moms company and realized that I want to help other seniors be happy.

Hello, My name is Jessica Voncannon. I have been a caregiver for over 10 years. I decided to go to college and become a Medical Assistant and though I loved it, my heart just belongs in home health. I absolutely adore the elderly and am very passionate about being able to advocate for my patients and make sure they get the best care. And ive found the only way I can asure that happens is to be the one who is caring for them. I have been blessed to be able to work with many family and become apart of so many family's and I look forward to working with many more.

What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that i get to spend time with the patients and make sure they're happy and taken care of. I love being there for people and I love the experience also. I am a hard worker

I started off as an EMT in 1995. Worked in ICU and Emergency Room. Just left in August 2023 to move to Southwest side of San Antonio in Medina County. I am 48 years old and have decided not to go back into the hospital environment as I found home care very rewarding and exactly what I love and need in my life.

As a caregiver, I try to be as professional as possible. My clients are not just a job. They are individuals with lives and deserve dignity while receiving care. I believe that consistency helps clients feel more comfortable. I like to keep the same schedule for the same clients to provide predictability. I realize that I am a "stranger" going into their homes to assist them with tasks they may be embarrassed about. I try my best to provide a friendly face while providing care.

I am an outgoing and wonderful person who's always taken like in caring for the elderly. It's best that they are taken care of in the best way and are receiving the care they deserve after working all of their lives and are now taking a rest. I want to be of assurance that they are happy and are given good care.

I'm in general a very sweet person. One of my best traits is that I thrive in environments where I'm genuinely needed. I tend to be goal oriented and, do whatever I can to meet those goals. In being a caregiver, the thing I love the most is going home knowing that at the end of the day I made a positive impact for at least one person. In my past retail experience, I never got that feeling. I was just another disposable employee. The thing that I am most proud of as caregiver is I helped one client who was thought to need institutional care for her entire adult life to re-enter societal life. She's doing well now but, better equipped to handle family life.

I am great at being a caregiver because I am passionate and love taking care of people I also have years of experience in the medical field. At age 14 I started working in a Houston Texas hospital as a volunteer candy stripper. I did that till I was 18. Then I went to College and took a CNA course where I became a Certified Nursing Assistant. After working at a Nursing home and working for a Home Health Agency I furthered my education in the Medical Field and took a Medical Assistant course were I graduated and became a Registered Medical Assistant. I am now 27 years old and love nursing as well as Taking care of people who need any type of help.

I love to work with the elderly and help them with their daily needs. My passion has always been the medical field and to help others. I get a sense of joy from putting a smile on my clients!

I'm a college student, that wants to help. I have experience helping the elderly because I stay with my grandma and she has had cancer twice so I take care of her. And I know a lot of people don't have someone to help them like I help my grandma so I'd like to do it for someone else as well.

From a young age I've been the caretaker not only to myself but for my family as well. Being a young mom to a child with a disability wasn't easy either but definitely made me want to keep taking care of anyone that I could help.
