I started of in the caregiving field with taking care of my grandfather. In the process I got to learn a lot and I did enjoy doing it. I treat every client like my own family with love and compassion. Every client had different needs, so I get to understand the client first and foremost. I mostly enjoy the learning process in caregiving, no matter how long one has been a caregiver, we get to learn new things every time. I once had a client who had dementia (late stage), who did not want to go to bed (it was late at night). One thing that the client enjoyed was watching animal documentaries . I showed the client pictures of different animals that I had taken when I went to Kenya and the client calmed down and I was able to redirect the client to bed. My patience with the client helped me assure the client that I was on her side. This scenario really made me proud of the caregiver that I'm becoming. I love what I do.

I am a very out going person and enjoy working with the elderly's.I became a caregiver September of 2014. I enjoy working with my residents.I get to spend time with my residents and get to know them.I assist them in their daily activities in life. I always feel great when I know I am able to help them with any assistant they need.I love to see my residents smile and know they are happy for what I do for them.

I am kind and extremely giving. I take care of everyone as if they were my own parents. I have taken care of my own quadriplegic son at home doing things I never thought I would be doing, but out of love I learned everything to take the best care of him that I could. I started caregiving after my son was shot because who could take better care of him than me. I decided to become an C.N.A, and took extra classes so that I could be prepared for anything, and enable him to be independent, and lead a full life. I enjoy caregiving because I am making a difference in someone's life , be it small or large it makes my heart happy to be able to make someone smile and help someone in need. Hi, my name is Angela and I have been working in caregiving and nursing since 2002. I have been around this line of work all my life. No due to the fact my grandmother rest her soul she was a nurse herself and old two adult family homes in the 1990s. she has been the pure role model for me showing how to take care of a person with compassion, empathy, and upholding certain care standards. I have worked in memory care, so I know the challenges of dealing with somebody that has dementia or Alzheimer's. I also have a strong mental health background. So I know de-escalation tactics are techniques, I currently am in nursing school learning how to care even more for people. I will graduate in three months, and look forward to providing exceptional care, wherever I'm at. It's even deeper to me, because I feel like I am carrying on my grandmother's legacy. All people deserve to live their fullest and best life. Even if they have medical limitations, a great support team can help them for fill their needs in life.

I became interested in being a caregiver because my father got sick with kidney failure and had diabetes and I had to start caring for him and that showed me how important your health is and how we should take care of ourselves.
