What a great caregiver means to me is to be able to show empathy and compassion toward the clients and families that I work with. By taking the time to fully understand my patient's needs and giving them the patience to work through their rehabilitation at their own pace, I show them that I care about them and that I want to do what I can to help them. I become a caregiver because I enjoy working with people. I love helping the individuals and their families to create the tailored care that is needed. I also enjoy working with the elderly in overcoming the difficulties associated with their health issues and helping them maintain their highest level of Activities Daily Living. The most satisfying part about being a caregiver is knowing that my clients and I foster a bond that makes me feel like a part of their family. In addition, the trust that my client's family put in me to ensure that their love ones are safe and taken care of is quite rewarding. I know how it helps the family feel at ease. One of my personally favorite achievements I'm proud of was helping one of my post-surgery clients at home with PT and OT; and enabling her to walk with a cane again instead of being restricted to a wheelchair.

I chose caregiving because of how fulfilled it makes me feel. I give care because of my love and passion for people, need to help others and my desire to make a positive difference in the society by impacting other people's lives. Seeing a big smile on other people's faces is refreshing. I'm a warm, kind, caring, giving, compassionate, patient, positive and athletic individual who enjoys being active, caring for others and making a positive difference. I feel very lucky and blessed to be able to use these qualities to help others through their daily life's experiences and with their activities of daily living. I thoroughly enjoy my job of caring for people and touching lives through compassionate care. Helping others to me, is enriching, rewarding, interesting, interactive, involving, versatile, and diverse; as I get to meet, communicate with and help people from all walks of life. There's always something different whether it's helping them to be able to get back on their feet, or helping them through their current life's experience; whatever it is that they are going through. Since I'm athletic and really enjoy being active, caregiving keeps me on my feet daily. Also, I get to meet and care for unique and amazing individuals, meet their families, learn about them and what makes them tick. In the process I get to know their likes, dislikes, values, cultures, traditions and all the fun stuff, gaining more knowledge and experience from them, while being in charge of my own scheduling. I love to take care people specially with older adults. I worked as a CNA at Providence Mount Saint Vincent for four years with no complaints but recognition for being a good caregiver. In addition, I am US Army Reserve since in 2008 as Patient Admin Specialist; As a drilling member, one of my duty is to attend my drill weekend every month and do the right thing wherever I go and whatever I do. Later, I transferred to Individual Ready Reserve in April 2015 to focus on my nursing school. My dream becoming a registered nurse (RN) was full filled in March 2016. Currently, Im working in critical care unit. However, I'm looking for someone who needs help on my off days. I guarantee, you can depend on me that I will do my best to take care your love ones!

Before I thought that I was a really patient person because I used to take care of my love ones,friends, neighbors,etc even when they've shown bad actitudes or behaviors or situations that you really need to understand , love , and accepts and be able to just offer them your help. But I realized that is not just patience what i need , is also compassion, and consciousness that we all need each other's as a human being. I'm retired from boeing but I do some care giving I'm a very compassionate loyal trustworthy and punctual person. I love to make seniors smile, laugh, and take on outtings if they wish, and are able to do. My love for Seniors started when my Aunt went to a Rehab center. I realized how much she enjoyed our outtings, playing games, and reading to her. She passed. It prepared me for the care of my Mother, who has now passed. On my time off, I enjoy my 3 grandkids. Have a cabin in leavenworth that we enjoy. I enjoy reading, canning, cooking and weekend trips in the PNW.

My job starts from home taking care of my two 9 & 8 yr old boys and my husband,I take good care of my family and when I go out to work,I will try my very best to do the best I can and ask God to give me strength and knowledge for what I should do to be a best caregiver, the old lady that I was working for before she always happy for me because I always give her life to the lord to take care of her and guide her always, and one thing she tell me,Sala when you pray for me I always sleep and rest well at night. I became a caregiver as the next step towards my nursing degree, and to get some experience in the medical field. I really enjoy working with all ages, disabilities, and people. I just finished my training, and I absolutely loved my clinics. I love getting to know the patients and/or residents, getting to be apart of their happiness and daily lives, and overall just being the reason someone is happier or feels better about themselves. I am very proud of this achievement, as I am not even out of high school yet and am almost half way done with my pre-requisites for my BSN in nursing. (a baccalaureate degree in nursing).
