Hi my name is Valerie. I have a degree in social work and have always loved people , whether it is children or the elderly. I have always been a patient person and try to see situations from the client's perspective, as I would want someone to do for me. I find helping people very rewarding. I have been doing it most of my life, between raising my children, having a daycare and taking care of the elderly. I find communication is important, as well as listening and trying to accommodate the person you are there for.

My passion and purpose in life is helping people. I have over 10 years of professional caregiving experience. My first love has always been being a personal caregiver for seniors. I have had extensive experience with companionship, personal care, Alzheimer's, dementia, etc. My education and also being a Medical Assistant has been used often with working as a personal caregiver. I have worked as a caregiver for family members, for home care agencies, and assisted living facilities. I am professional, caring, understanding, respectful, good conversationalist, trustworthy, and much more.

Taking care of my mother made me want to be in the health care. I knew that's something I wanted to do, I have been a caregiver for the Grimes Family for past couple years. Meal prepping, peg tube, trig care and suctioning when he needs it. We became family for the past years. I will be more than happy to care for your love one. I am CPR certified and also have all my clearance available.

I am very respectful outgoing individual. I came into the home care field do too a lot of things i had to experience. I just want to be able to take care of the elderly i lost both of my grandmas and i want others grandparents to have a chance to live a long happy life.

I am a well rounded person. I will help the patient with whatever needs to be done. I can transport, bath , lend an ear and just go the extra mile to make a patient comfortable. I have been in health care for over 25 years doing doing office work and now really enjoying hands on with patients. I love the hands on with patients cause everyone has got a story and at one point needs help. It makes me feel good to help other people. I am a very loving person and I love to help people to put smile on their face. I love to be a care giver because it my passion to be a Nurse. I love to help other to live the best of their lives in a meaningful way. Am also a very fun to be with. I have a family member that pass away from a certain sickness, I was their but I couldn't help in any shape or form, since then I decided to join the health care field and join hands in fighting certain diseases . What I love most in been a care giver is that am able to put smile on their face at the time that they can help themselves and I help lift them in Sprit and make then happy. One achievement am so so proud of is been a going to school and been a Nurse.

I am very caring and I'm hardworking! I pay attention to every detail and I'm a solution based person. I'm very helpful, I love helping people and I base my life around doing for others. What made me want to be a caregiver is having the heart that I do, knowing I would succeed in an area where I can advocate needs of others, show compassion and treat people with care. I wanted to work in a people related field because I plan on being a psychologist so I want to have as much experience with different types of people. My favorite thing about being a caretaker is being the person the clients trust and seeing them open up and learning who they are. I love hearing stories or jokes about their life or how they see things. One personal achievement I have is I created an activity club with over 100 activities to choose from ; to help kill time and occupy the individuals at the vocational center. I got a lot of recognition for it!
