I am a compassionate and loving person always looking for ways to help others. I would say that my best characteristics are that I am patient, kind, organized, dependable and a good communicator. I became a caregiver a little over 2 years ago when it became apparent that my parent needed my help. It was such a a gratifying and wonderful journey and a time that I would not give up for anything in the world. I learned so much about caregiving in those 2 plus years. I feel proud that I was able to help my parent to keep their independence and remain at home. I am also proud that I learned to be extremely resourceful and flexible during this learning process.
