I'm a bit more of a quiet person. I'm a good listener. I am very punctual and hardworking at my jobs. My mother is a Type I diabetic and I have spent several months taking care of her. And I have helped out my father when he has had two bouts of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I have a certain amount of understanding when it comes to taking care of people that need a little bit of help with getting around day-to-day. Being a caregiver is very rewarding when the people that I work with feel appreciated, listened to and taken care of.
What makes me a great care giver is first of all, my heart. I do this because I love to and when you do what you love it is not work. I am caring empathetic and compassionate. With over 36 years of senior care, I have extensive experience in ALL aspects of caring for the elderly and providing the very best in quality of life care. To name a few; Alzheimer/Dementia Care and communication strategies(redirection, therapeutic fibbing, or "going along" as long as it doesn't put the client at risk). Anxiety reduction, social interaction and companionship. Bathing and personal hygiene, great cook and homemaker. Observant and aware of changes in clients well-being. educated in home safety and recognizing possible barriers to client safety and ways to improve or remove those barriers. Excellent communicator and team player. There are many things I have done over the years as a caregiver that I am proud of. One in general, as to all my client,s has been to provide the very best in care and compassion and afford them the quality of life, respect and dignity we all deserve. As a care manager for my previous client, I was able to ensure that she was truly loved and happy. I ensured all her wishes were met and she knew she was cared for as well as her home and her cat. Her knowing was important to me.
I love God and just want to serve others and bring love and joy to peoples lives. I am most proud of my kind hearted, thoughtful, loving kids. They are almost out of my nest (18 & 15) and I want to continue to shower my love, attention and time on others who may not have that joy in their lives . Being a mom is the most rewarding job in the world to me, taking care of others is my passion and purpose in life.
I love helping people. I have found out that being a caregiver is much more rewarding then my past career of being a commercial buyer. I like helping people to be able to stay in their own homes. It is both a calming and healing environment over living in an assisted living environment. In one of my past positions I was able to help a morbidly obese woman lose a significant amount of weight and become more mobile. Presently I work with severely special needs children of Army families. I have lived in Colorado over twenty-five years. I have raised two children. My daughter is soon to be married, and my son is finally legal. I would love to be your care provider and help you attain your goals and aspirations.
I was a nurse in Ghana so helping people to gain recovery is what i prioritize in doing . i like to help and assist people who need my help. I delight in giving care to sick people because that is the job i have been doing ever since i started college. Seeing my client getting back on their feet is my personal achievement, am also a cna with more experience. I have worked with Brookdale , Amada home care for some years now so I know what it entails in giving care to a senior
Caregiving .comes naturally to me. I have worked in different personal care capacities for the past 18 years. I am a compassionate individual who enjoys providing exceptional care & support for people of different ages. It gives me great satisfaction to help someone and bring a positive change in the lives of my clients
I became a caregiver because i enjoy helping others.I like the satisfaction of knowing that i am making someone else's life more tolerable and comfortable.I am proud to say that i have saved a few peoples lives when they stopped breathing or was choking, and i acted quick enough to do that for them.I have been a CNA for 25+ years. I will continue to help others until i can no longer serve them...love u all!
I am a dedicated CNA with over 11 years of experience. After working extensively in nursing/rehabilitation units, I transitioned to live in care. I love being a caregiver because it allows more people to remain in their own homes. I am a quiet person upon meeting someone but once I get to know them, it's always a wonderful experience. I love learning about their lives and hobbies. I'm an avid reader and I love to travel. Although I'm centrally located in one area, I am free to travel to whoever is a good match and needs the help.
What makes me a great caregiver is definitely my level of compassion. I have a daughter who has taught me a lot of patience. I also took care of my mother for a long time before she passed away, and I just think that if I wasn't there I would've wanted her to have the best level of care possible. Being in that situation I feel for families and just want to provide them the peace of mind that their family member is taken care of by a caregiver who truly cares.
