Hi my name is Ruthy I'm from the Philippines and I've been working as a CNA for 9 years, my first job was in a nursing home for 5 years I love my job because I like to help people especially elderly it reminds me of my grandparents. When I was in a nursing home I worked or experienced a lot of cases like people that has any stage of Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson, multiple sclerosis, stroke and more. And now I work as a private caregiver for 4 years which includes housekeeping, running errands, preparing meal or cooking food.

I possess excellent clinical, customer service and communication skills. I am a team player. I am respectful, responsible, resourceful, teachable, adaptable and disciplined. I also very patient and accomadating to clients' needs and families requests. I am able to function effectively under stressful conditions yet preserving to accomplish my goals. I am very loyal to my patients and my employers.
I have been doing Caregiver work since I myself fully recovered from a massive job stroke. I've worked with Agencies, at an Assisted Living place where I was paid CNA rates based on my own life experiences. Worked as a Personal Private Caregiver through personal references. I find being a Caregiver to be a very rewarding experience.
Summer Update [?]: I am free and available for the entire summer until day after Labor Day, in which afterwards, I go back to my schedule below. After Labor Day Availability: I am available late evenings, overnight til 4am w/sleep, & some weekends can be negotiated. What makes me a great caregiver is my patience and ability to take the lead to discern when a situation needs action or not. I have had many clients whose demands were very different but I adjusted right away bc I do understand the need for each person to have dignity and still feel as though they have a level of independence. I have serviced those as young as 38 with terminal cancer to those who were a mature age of 88 with heart, mobility, and respiratory issues, dementia, Alzheimer's, and bed-ritten, so I am well-rounded. I am a mother of 2 boys now young men and I am married but I have still devoted countless hours for my clients, even living in with them 24/7 and working 12 to 24 hour days, 7 days a week. I do not mind at all. I am gracious and love people too much. I will be a promising catch.
Professionally trained Caregiver with experience ensuring high standards of culturally competent care for a wide variety of patients with diverse needs. I have been a Caregiver for over 10 years. Especially skilled with Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson's, Arthritis and Cancer. I would not only be a caregiver, but a friend to whom I care for adding my own personal touch and personality to their day to day needs, while providing for increasing levels of responsibility and professional growth.
I knew from a young age that I always wanted to help people so with that in mind after high School I pursued what I knew I would be good at helping senior citizens through the years I have learned a lot and also through experience with working with agencies where most of the time they just throw you in and expect you to learn everything which was fine with me 18 years of experience later and I've had no complaints.
What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I have a big heart. I am willing to help others and care for them. Not only am I doing my job, but I create a bond with my clients, it is more than just a job. Being there to comfort them and hands-on when needed. What attracted me to being a caregiver is growing up I watched my grandfather need the help. I enjoyed being there for him to the point where he felt comfortable enough to be in the state he was in. The most exciting part of being a caregiver is creating that bond with my clients to the point where they want me to come back. It is not always about being there for just the job and them needing help , I like being open to them and more like a friend then an employee. I am proud of helping others. I know that with my ability to be there for others good things will come upon me.
II currently hold a state license as a certified nurses Assistant(CNA), HHA certificate. I pay attention to what my clients need and what is important to their care than what is convenient. Very trustworthy and responsible.
For me, caring for clients, especially the elderly brings me joy. I've been in the health care field since 2012. I have a bachelors in medical sciences & presently obtaining my masters in health administration. I've worked as a caregiver for a year. For me, It's not much about the money, but about the joy I get from caring for the elderly. It's my dream to manage nursing homes & hospices and I believe that my experience as a care giver will help me better understand the true feelings and needs of these population of people. I see my clients as family and I care for them like family.
