Being a caregiver comes naturally to me. I enjoy taking care of others and helping them. I had wonderful relationships with my grandparents and served as guardian to my grandmother the last year of her life, making it the best possible with all that life brings. I so enjoy their personal stories of days gone by and the wisdom they share about life. When my grandparents passed away, I felt such a void and missed connecting with that generation. I soon found that caregiving fulfilled that empty spot in my life in rich and rewarding ways. I enjoy conversing and bringing joy to others through companionship and in helping to make life better however I can for them. There have been many achievements throughout life, and I would say that having my own family to love and care for has been one of the greatest achievements in my life.
My name is Sydney and I am currently a health care provider at Memorial Hospital. I am certified in CPR and I have been trained in catheter care, proper bathing, blood glucose testing, etc. I took a training course in behavioral management to help teach me how to properly care for individuals with various types of psychological disorders. I am very friendly and outgoing and love helping others manage their health.
Hi! My name is Christina and I have been a CNA since 2013. I have worked in long/short term facilities as well as hospital settings and private home care. I am CPR certified and have experience with many health issues and mental conditions. I enjoy caring for people and providing company to those who just need it sometimes.
I love caregiving because it's such an intimate friendship that you get to build with others in our community and it has impacted and inspired me in a positive and powerful way. I started caregiving to help my mom pay bills when I was 15, and I have yet to look back and regret the time I've gotten to spend with people in their golden years of life. I will forever be grateful for the time I have spent with the people I've gotten to care for.
I am a dedicated and compassionate caregiver who has been working in the healthcare field since 2008. I have a plethora of experience including setting up appointments, medication reminder and administration, transportation, tracheotomy care, ostomy care, wound care, EKG/ECG, Ultrasounds, diabetes, memory care, psychiatric care, answering phones, hospice care, and companionship. I take pride in my work and treat all clients as if they were my own family.
I became a care giver when I moved to NC to take care of my Great Aunt at the age of 22. After going to CNA school and working in hospitals and nursing homes I didn't like that I was not able to spend more time with each patient. That's when I started home care. I have been doing home care for 25+ years. This is my calling.
I am a very patient and kind person in nature.I always like giving more than i receive, and i love what i do.I have been a caregiver for 5 years and a CNA for 3 years. So,i have 8years of experience dealing with different kinds of people. What attracted me to being a caregiver was the fact that i was in a position where i couldn't take care of my own mother after an accident.I was young and didn't know what to do with her. After that experience,i promised myself that i would equip myself with the right skills to being able to take care of any of my loved ones. I love what i do,and i take it very seriously. My client is my number one priority and they 100% satisfaction is my goal at the end of the day.
What makes me a great caregiver is that I give all that I can to make sure that the client and their family are happy. I provide excellent care, communication and hard work. I am a very generous person with a BIG heart and I have a soft spot for helping others. I have always had a desire for helping others and the smile on their faces gives me great pleasure. My personal achievement is to take my NClex and become an RN and continue to help others on all different levels of nursing.
