I have never considered working as a caregiver a "job" that I go to everyday. It's my passion and I enjoy greatly working with those who need personal care in any given situation. It takes a special kind of person to be a caregiver; qualities that I possess are compassion, empathy, patience, being a good listener, motivating and being a positive person! What I love about caregiving is providing reassurance to the family and the patient that their loved one is comfortable, content and peaceful. Respecting the families wishes and knowing that they are putting their trust in me makes me go the extra mile.
I love working with the elderly and have patients and understanding. Working to give everyone the dignity they deserve. Offer choices when dressing and listen to their questions and offer solutions. I'm most proud of the way I work to make everyone feel like they still have a purpose.
I am a 56yr old female and have been caring for/ assisting seniors and disabled/challenged adults for 12 yrs. I've worked for clients with dementia, alzheimers, MS, Parkinsons, surgeries, CHF, COPD, stroke, CKD, numerous cancers, SP Cath, diabetes, as well as other disabilities and illnesses. Duties have included companionship/mind and sensory stimulation (games, puzzles, discussions, outings..), transportation, meals, cooking, medication management/reminders, assist with hygiene/bathing/dressing, schedule mngmt(Dr.appts, hair), laundry, groceries, errands, LIGHT housecleaning, stretching/ROM exercises, household mngmt. I am certified with the state as a Certified Nurse Assistant, also trained in BLS, AED, and CPR, which allows me to work in Home Care, Hospitals, Rehab. Facilities, and Senior Care/Long-Term Care Facilities... but I prefer Home Care. I Love what I do and am compassionate and patient with my clients/patients. I hold an impeccable driving record and a chauffeur license, and have a trustworthy, well-maintained, well-insured vehicle chosen specifically for working with my clients(easy seating with easy access for walkers/wheelchairs). Working part-time/occasionally for an agency, I am required to keep a CLEAR CRIMINAL BACKGROUND as well as remain current on my CPR/BLS and CNA training/certifications and TB testings. I'd love to discussing how I can assist you and your family. My training, qualifications, experience, and willingness to go above and beyond for my client and their family make me a quality addition to your care team family. Numerous client references/ recommendations available upon request. Thank you for your consideration. God bless.
I have always loved caring for the elderly, even all the way back to high school where I took a health occupations class that included adult day care and loved it. I deeply enjoy helping people. I am proud to have won the respect of great nurses and coworkers along the way because I have a team outlook and work hard at helping everyone!
Over the past six years I have dedicated myself to helping individuals live fulfilling and dignified lives. I enjoy working with clients of all ages and backgrounds, and I possess a demonstrated ability to develop great relationships with clients and their families. I have experience in all aspects of the care giving field including ADLs, medication reminders, transportation, personalized care plan implementation, and more.
I'm easy going person who like to be around different people. I'm easy to have a conversation with, I'm very passionate towards people. My mom was a CNA when I was 12 years old, my mom took me to work with her i enjoyed helping others and seeing the smile on their faces. What I enjoy most is seeing their faces when you walk in, being able to help them, learn about them. Being able to know they have someone there to help and listen to them.
I have been in this field for 26 years. I started out working in nursing homes and my real intention was to become an R.N. I love working with the elderly population because they are a wealth of knowledge, a generation that will be lost forever, and I love to listen to the story of their lives. I have gained a wealth of knowledge in this field. I am 49 years young and the mother of a grown son and daughter. I have 5 beautiful grandchildren. I am studying and almost done with my Criminal Justice degree and I plan to work on the other spectrum of life, juveniles. I am originally from Kentucky.
I'm compassionate and caring. I grew up with my grandparents and worked with my grandma at a nursing facility growing up. Being able to help people who aren't able to do the things that they used to do is very rewarding. My personal achievement is going back to college to get my degree.
