what makes me a great caregiver is that I have the patience to get to know someone rather its verbal or physical and it makes not only me but the client feel good that I understood the problem. I became a caregiver because its always been a passion for me to help others that genuine feeling is amazing kinda like a breathe of fresh air. what I like most about being a caregiver is meeting different people with different values that I sometimes adapt as my own. A personal achievement I am proud of is I signed back up for school to finish my degree in nursing

Hi! My name is Kathy Masino. I am a retired Registered Nurse who decided to stay at home and raise my 3 beautiful children who are now grown and doing their own thing out in the world. I could not be prouder of them or more thankful for the opportunity I had to stay home and raise them. I truly miss the nursing aspect that brought much joy and fulfillment to my life. I would love the opportunity to work again with the elderly in the capacity of a companion with the added benefit of having a nursing background. I believe everyone deserves respect, dignity, compassion in the elder years. Growing old is not easy and unfortunately Father Time gets us all! I have always enjoyed the stories and the quiet moments with elders. They have much to share and much to learn from.
I treat my clients like family.. when I go to the nursing homes and assisted living places it breaks my heart to see how many people just want attention or someone to sit and ask them how their day is... I'm very passionate about working with older people I learn new things everyday.... I'm a hugger I love showing the people I work for love... I like to take my clients out for lunch and love just sitting with them and seeing what they have done for work and tall about family... Bottom line is my clients become my family...
Hello, Im LaChelle but I'm better known by my home care families as Chelly. Chelly Is a family nickname and I certainly feel the same about my home care patients. I've always enjoyed being given the opportunity to impact people lives and being a great help to those who can no longer perform daily living activities for themselves. The smiles on their faces are the best parts of my day. At the young age of 5 I knew I'd be in healthcare when my Grandmother was diagnosed with cancer. I was raised by her, helped her get through surgeries and home care when nurses could no longer be afforded . I have now been an aide for 11 years. I believe that is one of the biggest reasons I am a great caregiver to this day. I care for all my families as I would want my own to be treated. With compassion, dignity and respect!
Ever since I can remember I've always wanted to make a difference and help people. Being in this line of field is exactly what I'm looking for. So many people need help or assistance or just even you being there for them. Knowing I can help make someone's day easier and to just be there for them is what motivates me. I really love being a caregiver it is my calling. I always knew I wanted to work with the elderly sometimes there families cannot do everything and need help and that's why I'm here. I am very talkative once you get to know me, my friends and family would saying I'm very lovable, sweet, kind, caring, dependable, hard working. I am very proud of the woman I am becoming from graduating high school early to going to college and getting my associates to finally working with people I can take care of. I always treat my clients with respect and take care of them as if they were my family.
I consider myself to be a great caregiver because I show both empathy and compassion towards my clients. I make sure that the client that I'm caring for knows that their needs and wants are important to me and I will do what I can to assist and support their goals. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is helping a client regain strength in her legs through recommended in home physical therapy exercises so she can use the Walker and be mobile
