First and foremost, I am a mother of two beautiful children (whom I am home schooling), the three of us often act as a team when it comes to my work. It's truly spectacular how children can bring life and laughter to older generations, and it brings me joy as well! When I was young my mother worked as nurse in a home health facility, where I became every resident's very best little friend! I started volunteering in nursing homes, and hospice care facilities long before I was able to make a career out of my passion, I've never seen myself being fulfilled by anything else. I consider myself to be exceptionally compassionate, kind-hearted, understanding, patient, and loving. I also don't have a weak stomach, which I've found to be a great trait as a caregiver! My goal in life is to continue my passion as a fulltime career, so that I may feel fulfilled in my life and what I feel I've been called to do.
I have about 15 years of experience in taking care of elderly in their private homes and in health facilities. I really enjoy this job because it allows me to express my passion to those who need love and care in their different situations. I am very hard working, competent, caring, reliable and honest.
Hi my name is Maurie Ann. I have a lifetime of experience in caregiving. I am friendly, caring, dependable, and love my clients like family. I care for my 97 year old grandma at home when I am not caring for my client. I helped my grandma transition from being bed ridden and unable to speak to walking around, enjoying companionship, and chatting quite alot! I chose this career because I love to help people and I found that God has gifted me in this area. I earned a Bachelor's degree in General Studies with emphasis on Family Studies and English Literature. I earned all the credits to be a nursing facility administrator, however; I haven't found the internship needed to get licensed. It is sort of on the back burner while I care for grandma and others. I love music, dogs, and cats. I have great communication skills and experience in Alzheimer's care, stroke & heart patient care, hospice care, and caring for clients with schizophrenia and other forms of psychosis. My goal is to bring more happiness and health to others as I help them with their daily routine. If you need a friend and helper, I am your girl! I prefer 10 to 12 hour shifts, overnight (example: 7pm-7am). I would like to have 48 to 60 hours per week. I only charge $15 per hour for the excellent care I provide. If you need me please call and leave a message-817-800-5370.

I have been a certified nurses aide for about 9 years and my experience mainly includes working in a long term care facility, with some home health and private sitting jobs part time throughout the years. I am also a medication aide and have been for 5 years. I'm compassionate about what I do and hard working. I am currently taking prerequisite classes to apply to nursing school within the next two years to get my RN/ADN. I enjoy helping in a private setting because I'm able to spend the one on one time as opposed to in a facility you have to divide your time to ensure your job gets done.
I became a Caregiver because I feel like I am making a difference in someone's life. A smile, touch or words of encouragement can add so much to the life of a sick or elderly person. This kind of connection makes my job more than what it is and that gives me personal satisfaction. I like being a Caregiver because I enjoy meeting new people, and no 2 days are the same. I'm proud of graduating from CNA school at the top of my class and passing the state CNA class on the first try. I am married with 3 very active teenage boys. I enjoy being an active mom in their lives. Originally I am from Naperville, Illinois. My husband's company transferred to Fort Worth in 2008. I have had various other positions. Late summer last year was when I started my studes for my CNA career.
I am a certified professional caregiver after many years of caring for ill, and elderly family members. I enjoy giving others in need a sense of independence, and a better quality of life while remaining in their home. I love incorporating a variety of art therapy projects in my work with my clients, I've found it to be very beneficial. I also enjoy helping with pets, and am a devout cat lover! I am currently certified in Adult/Infant/Child CPR and AED training. I have a certification in basic first aid, a certification in (CBT) Cognitive Behavior Therapy and I also have a certificate for Trauma Based IDD issued by (DADS) Department of Aging and Disability Services with the state of Texas.
I have always been a caregiver, though it's always been with children, I decided to try a part-time job during the summer taking care of seniors and I absolutely fell in love. I enjoy helping others, becoming part of families, hearing stories of times past, there is just so much seniors can offer and I enjoy learning from them. My grandparents were my world, so many things I love doing I got from them. From gardening, going on adventures, and story time. Since I've switched from children to seniors I've been asked so many times how? How could I switch like that? To me all I did was trade the size. Littles and seniors have so much in common and we have so much to learn from both. I'm an energetic person, I don't sit still very well for too long, but I do understand that quiet\nap time is sometimes necessary. Something I'm very proud of ( other than being a mother and now a grandmother) is making it through college. I attended later in life with my older daughter's while having another daughter in that later part of my life. It's an accomplishment I don't think I could have done without the support of my girls and family. I don't have any direct schooling in caring for seniors but I have years of experience and it's something I'm very passionate about.
