I love to be able to help people, make them smile and make them happy. I have always loved to be able to help people feel better and help the get well. When growing up my grandfather had a stroke and was like a dementia patient. I was two when my grandmother started babysitting me, so she could stay home with her husband. We had a special connection, he wouldn't go to therapy. We learned to walk, talk and do everything together. When growing up I decided that I wanted to be a nurse or do something to help sick and elderly people. I really love to help them to be able to accomplish things that they think they cannot do anymore or find away to help them feel like they can do something still, even if its folding wash cloths. I have always tried to make them feel as if they have family even when their family can't be there. Oh being able to help so many families with the end of their family members life, wven when they are on hospice. I have always made it my goal to keep the resident and thier family as comfortable as possible. ... more
