I originally started my healthcare career as a First Responder (EMT- Intermediate Grade) with American Heart Association CPR and American Red Cross Advanced First Aid Instructor certificates (though all said certifications are lapsed at this time) before moving on to other career choices. Four years ago, an opportunity for home healthcare assistance became available. I enjoyed that experience and continue to work with patients requiring some additional activities of daily living assistance.
Hello! My name is Melissa. I absolutely Love caring for and helping people! Its very rewarding to me to make a difference in someone else's life. I am very sympathetic, empathetic, easy-tempered, patient, kind, loving, honest, dependable and very knowledgeable in Many areas of diagnoses. I have a Registered Nursing background and was an RN up north for many years. I left my career to take care of my Mother full time, who suffered from Alzheimer's Disease with dementia. When the time came to renew my license, I couldn't afford it and had to let it expire. Now, in order to get my license down here in FL, I have to obtain the money to pay for classes and re-licensure. This may take some time. In the meantime, I do have all the experience and knowledge of a Registered Nurse and have worked in Several different fields and with many different people. I would absolutely Love to have the oppertunity to care for you or your loved one! I am looking forward to hearing from you! Thank you so much and God Bless!

Being a caregiver is one of most rewarding things a person can do. The smile on their faces is over whelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. Seeing a smile of appreciation over just a small deed that I do. I like meeting new people and providing caregiving services that they can no longer do for themselves .I enjoy the opportunity to impact clients lives and make a difference to them. I'm a very outgoing, energetic, athletic, fit person who is very compassionate and caring, someone who puts others before himself, a father of 5, 3 girls and 2 boys. I've been in the field over 10 years and have reliable references to support the fact. I enjoy being able to help others, with everyday tasks, getting back into the community, making home cooked meals, or just being there as someone to talk to. I've worked with seniors, developmentally disabled, dementia patients, and disabled veterans. I'm a well rounded individual with ambition, and experience in all aspects of the healthcare field. An added bonus is that I love to cook as well. My family and I moved from Denver to Florida just to experience life and it's been one of the best life choices I could have ever made. We've been here almost two years now, and look forward to connecting with families and making new friends.
