I've been a Medical Assistant for 9 years and love caring for people. While a majority of my medical career has been spent in pediatrics, I've experienced caregiving for seniors part-time throughout the last 15 years. I'm just as passionate about healthcare as it relates to Seniors and/or those with physical limitations, as I am about children. I believe what makes me a great caregiver, is my compassion for people along with my experience. I'm comfortable doing almost any task as it relates to in-home care. I can cook a variety of meals for any dietary need, I love to sit and provide conversation or entertainment, I'm experienced in medical care and have no issues tracking or administering medicine, I can easily handle shopping or grocery needs, and I have no problem providing physical assistance for bathing, grooming, and mobility requirements. I'm a wife and mother of 2, so I know how to maintain a household and care for those who can't care for themselves.
I am a very kindhearted, compassionate person. I realized that I wanted to care for the elderly, almost 20 years ago, when I helped out a family friend with caring for her mother with alzheimers. I discovered that I enjoy caring for the elderly and getting to know them. I want to feel as if I'm making some small difference in someone's life.

I am very patient. I like hearing stories from old people, even if it's again and again and again. I don't care. I like to hear their stories and whatever they wanna share with me I'm all ears. I've been with so many elders in my life and taking care of them is one I enjoy very much! Their stories, talking with them. I don't mind if it takes hours and days. I love healthy food, I'll enjoy making meals for them. I am proud of so many things. I am proud that God gave me a heart of gold.
I am a very outgoing person who has always just wanted to help everyone. I became a caregiver/ certified nursing assistant because I wanted to be surrounded by the medical field. I am currently pursuing a degree in nursing and I wanted to get experience. I started in the nursing home and I loved it there. I love the patients and I love knowing that I am helping them continue on with their daily life. I made a move to Pensacola from Alabama and I am wanting to do more of a home health type of job. I would love to be your next caregiver!

I am retired but still very healthy and active. I workout on a regular basis. I took care of my dad for a year before he passed away. He had diabetes, heart disease and COPD. I took him to doctors appointments as well as looking after his needs. Being retired and active I still feel I have something to contribute. I enjoy talking with seniors, I think ensuring the end of life quality is important, we should all be afforded that dignity. I have had a full and rich life. I raised a wonderful family, two son who themselves are very successful. I started a very successful business in the mid 1980's, which I sold in 2016. My hobbies include astro-photography, sailing and diving. I also have worked and volunteered for the National Park Service.
What makes me a good caregiver is that I treat each client as if they were my own Family member giving tender loving care. And the reason that I became a care giver is because at the age of 17 my Grandfather that raised me became ill he developed diabetes and later on he developed lung cancer I was his soul caregiver experience changed my life. And what I like about caregiving is that it is so rewarding to give of my time and love some individuals I have worked with had no family members to care for them so to be there in every way for those paticular clients meant the world to me. And a personal Achievement that I am proud of is when I became a home owner for the first time in 2013 My children and I seen a year and a half of homelessness prior that so I consider myself Blessed to have a Permanent roof over over our heads.
