I am a compassionate energetic female with a good sense of humor. I have 15+ years experience. First as a cna and then as a licensed nurse working with hospice and geriatric clients . I am very dependable. Both my parents had hospice at home. I know the importance of being some where when people depend on you. It is rewarding for me to know that families feel a sense of relief that their loved ones are in good hands when I care for them

Because everyone deserves dignity in life they deserve love compassion cleanliness nutrition and companionship I love caring for the elderly and the disabled I am proud of many achievements everyday a person having a smile when she can not speak knowing another resident always comes out for breakfast knowing something was wrong calling 911 and he is still here and getting stronger everyday I have a disabled daughter and I ran a daycare for disabled children and took care of my terminally ill miss mom and decided to go into health care and became a Cna over 10 years ago and love making a difference in people lives.
I am passionate and enthusiastic about what I do. I love taking care of people. I became a care giver to be able to take care of people whose loved ones where far or stretched and needed an extra pair of hands. Meeting new people, getting to know them and being able to help them with their basic needs gives me satisfaction. One of my achievements was being able to care for a depressed client who after sometime started liking getting out of bed in the morning; I read to them and often took short walks with them. The small things make a difference in the lives of the people we care for.

Being a caregiver is such an honor - it's all about putting away your needs to assist others. Knowing that a smile on your face can bring joy and happiness to someone else is priceless. The moments when you can reflect back and see how you have helped someone is what caregiving is all about.
Becoming a caregiver grew from my personal experience of caring for my grandfather. My grandfather built his home with his own hands and all he wanted was to live out his life in it. Watching him become less capable to care for himself and his house quickly became the driving force behind my overpowering desire to help seniors stay in their homes. Think of me like a multi tasking personal life assistant! What is that you ask? Well...... not only can I provide assistance with daily living tasks, but I can also assist with all aspects of household management. I can accompany you to appointments, be an advocate by your side, a voice for you, or just help you by listening and taking notes. I can help you run errands, food shop & track and manage household management tasks like maintenance & repairs. One day I may be fixing the dishwasher, the next day I'm correlating all your upcoming medical appointments and family visits. I believe that our age should not dominate our lives, how old we are does not determine who we are. I will do anything I can to help someone continue living in their home, because I believe if that's what they wish, then they deserve a chance. Aging in place is a realistic and viable option that we should always consider.

I became a caregiver because I believe what goes around comes around and I will be in their shoes some day and want to receive the care that I give to the elderly. I am always smiling and just a people person and give the elderly the time and care they deserve. I am an older woman that found my dream job. I was a stay at home mom for many years and just found that I had more to give once my children were out on their own. So I decided to go back to school in the medical field.
