I am reliable, patient, and have a helpful spirit. I've always respected my elders. Giving assistance and comfort to someone whose given so much to everyone else already, fulfills my own need to give back, and to be productive and appreciative of my blessings. A sense of satisfaction by making someones day brighter makes being a caregiver very enjoyable. I would consider my greatest personal achievement as having raised two beautiful, intelligent and compassionate children into adulthood.

I will care for your love one like there my own.
Passionate about quality and caring home care for those in need and desiring to remain in familiar surroundings during their golden years. I currently care for two patients. One with physical and neurological disorders and the other a post stroke, elderly dementia-memory care patient. One of these positions may be ending soon. My start date with a new client is flexible. I am an amateur chef. My interests include first and foremost family, then genealogy, history, reading, journaling, gardening and non-political current events. I cared for my mother in home during the last six of her 94 years. She suffered with dementia, diabetes (insulin dependent), arthritis, incontinence and mobility issues. She wanted to spend her last days in her own home for which I am very thankful I was able to be instrumental in granting her wish. I have spent 30+ years, off and on, in the health care industry in positions of nurse aide and home health care aide. I value life and respect end of life wishes. I hope that as I age that I will have the respect, care, empathy and loving commitment to my care as I provide to my patients.
I was raised around seniors all my life visiting nursing homes my mom worked at and volunteering. After closing my personal care business I wanted to do work to make a difference. I became a caregiver and can truly say I love what I do. My clients are like family to me and it gives me great joy to help them with all of their needs. I go above and beyond at all times providing support, kindness and excellent care. In addition to my work as a caregiver I often volunteer at my mothers senior community helping her neighbors with whatever they may need. I consider them family and love to give back to the community.
I have worked in the health field for 45 years. I have a passion for caring for the elderly. I started out in high school as a Red Cross Volunteer at a local Nursing Home. I owned and operated my own Veterans Foster Home out of my Old Victorian 5 bed/4 bath Home on the Arkansas River in Colorado for 8 yrs.
I am a hard-working, attentive, compassionate, and conscientious caregiver, and have found helping seniors to be very rewarding. I was privileged to work for a family for the past 8+ years, providing care and support to my employer's wife as she battled Alzheimer's Disease. I provided supervision and companionship, assisted with all ADL's and as the disease advanced, provided end of life care when she became bedridden. It was a very slow, sad journey for her (and her family and caregivers), but I consider myself blessed to have been a part of her caregiving team!
I care for others as if they are my own family. My way of thinking is treat them as I'd want someone caring for my grandparent/parent to be treated. I became a caregiver after watching my grandfather being cared for. I love being a caregiver. Since childhood I wanted to be a nurse but since becoming an stna I prefer the one on one vs just giving them their medication. I completed my two year medical assistant degree.

I raised three beautiful kids who have done very well and who I love very deeply I am also very proud grandma, I think being there for people with disabilities or taking care of children is such a rewarding experience that I love, I honestly feel that is a gift of mine to be compassionate and loving towards children and less fortunate people with disabilities and I truly love working with both, it honestly makes me feel fulfilled and I know when I walk through that door I like to see that smile on their face when they see me I have great reference and I always say Do What You Love
