Hi, my name is Crystal Miller but everyone calls me Nikki. I have been a CNA for almost 14 years. I love helping people as well as taking care of others. I became a CNA because it was a good way for me to take care of others and have a sense of pride about my job as well as myself. I am currently looking into going to nursing school to become an RN.
I am 59 years old, a retired nurse. Respectful of my employers. Hard working and reliable. I have health insurance and reliable transportation. My nursing background gives affords me skills to spot potential medical and medication problems and to get quick resolutions. I am a good cook and listener. I enjoy meeting new new people. My husband and I have lived in our home for 23 years. Willing to work in the greater Dallas area
I treat all patients as if they were family. I don't treat any better than others. I want to help the elderly so the family doesn't have to put their life on hold. I love helping others. I am glad I am able to let the elderly/disabled continue on with a normal life as possible stress free.
I have worked off and on since 1985 caring for the elderly. I am available weekly Monday through Thursday for a 10/12 hour shift each day, either days or nights. I am available also for working a 7 day shift opposite another who works the other 7 days. It Is much easier having 2 caregivers and makes the Senior's life easier. We get to know their likes and dislikes, the routine stays the same and the family is more comfortable knowing the care givers. I cared for both of my parents and find Care Giving for the Elderly to be very rewarding by giving then the chance to remain at home in comfortable surroundings. I have 10 years with Dementia/Alzheimer's Care, 20+years with Diabetic Care. I love to cook and light housekeeping is no problem. I drive to appointments, shopping and just a drive itself. I'm very experienced with shopping for the Senior and always try to follow their likes. I have my CPR(Adult/Child/Infant/Choking) AED/First-Aid/Bloodborne Pathogens Certificate.
I love to laugh and put my all into my clients to make sure they receive the best care possible. I love the one on one care with the client and love to see smiling faces which tells me I'm doing an excellent job caring for my client. I love building the trust within the family and the client's. My last client was diagnosed with PSP which is a neurological disease that affects the brain for 6 months until he recently passed. I consider myself a caregiver who wears my heart on my sleeve.

Highly-dependable and nurturing caregiver with extremely compassionate nature and 15+ years' extensive experience in providing prompt and friendly care to elderly and disabled clients. Warm-hearted individual who performs personal care activities in a manner that maximizes residents' independence and dignity in their own home.
I made the decision to become a caregiver after my grandmother passed from Alzheimer's. I know firsthand what a family expects from a caregiver. I'm extremely patient, compassionate, empathetic, honest and a caring person. My organizational skills are excellent for medication or bill paying needs.
I have been a caregiver for the last six years due to an accident my daughters were in. My oldest was left a T10 spinal cord injury and I have spent this time making her independent. This accident has totally changed my life. It humbled me as a person and showed me not only the part of the medical field I thrive in but also showed me what I am good at. I find great reward in watching the things my daughter is now doing compared to what she was doing at the time of her accident...I know this is because of the hard work and determination I had as soon as they told me her injuries. I love going home at night knowing I made a difference in a life. The achievements I am proud of are graduating from the Scrub Technician certification program at Paris Junior College. Even though I do not work in that field I do work in a place that I get to make a difference. I am a hard worker and very reliable. I take my work serious and will always strive to be the best.
I became a caregiver 20+ years ago, because it's something I am passionate about. In those 20 years I obtained experience in various facets of patient care. My strengths are that I tend to add an element of humor along with compassionate, empathetic and loving care. I enjoy what I do, and I must say...I am GOOD at what I do. I look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to contact me at any time.
I began home health care with my grandparents. I was happy to do this for them. Entering the field with family first, I understand the compassion and privacy involved. And will honor yours. I have worked with many great families and people like me . I have worked with hospice several times.
