To know that I'm giving my best to others in time of need is what gives me purpose. I became a caregiver for my mother, when she was recovering from several surgeries, in different skilled nursing facilities. All the while, making many observations concerning the staff and noticing their attention was not up to my standards of what genuine care should be. I knew then, that I could make a difference and was compelled to. Since, I've made strides in obtaining education with certifications; continue with on-line courses to keep me informed with state guidelines and any changes that occur in the health care field...because this is vital. Moreover, I sincerely feel this is my true calling; I find it very rewarding to nurture. I possess emotional and mental maturity necessary for establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with my client and the client's family. I also encompass dignity, patience, courtesy, integrity and a warm sense of humor. Oh! And I love to cook!
My current availability is: Monday, Tuesday Thursday and Saturday mornings to early afternoons from 8a.m. to 2p.m.
I've been a caregiver for over 18 years now! I have reliable transportation w/a Texas drivers license. My automobile insurance, CNA, TB screening and CPR are all current and in good standing
Thank you for the consideration. Well wishes finding the right fit!

Good day. I am a 56 yr old father of 4, experienced caregiver. I attended Baylor University in the 80's for a couple of years before enlisting in the USAF. I worked with students with disabilities for Northside ISD for many years. For a few years now, I've immersed myself in the seniors care field and have devoted my work to assist the families of: a WWII 94yr old veteran with dementia and blindness, a 63 yr old retired DEA agent with Parkinson's symptoms, a charming southern lady with fall risks, an army veteran with Alzheimer's, and a former Texas cowboy with post-traumatic brain injury. I'm well versed in providing many services required in at-home caregiving. I have helped with everything from mobility, light housekeeping/meal prep, meds mngmnt, and bathing to companionship, bathing, wound care, and physical/occupational/speech therapy exercises.
I believe if given an interview, you'll see I might suit your expectations. Direct communication with me optional.
References upon request, of course.
Thank you.

I am a very loving, compassionate, joyful and patient caregiver. I am very detail oriented and a do my work with a spirit of excellence! I am very dependable and knowledgeable as I have been a caregiver for 20 yrs. My first job as a caregiver was in 1996. While I was donig Missionary work in Victoria, Tx., a 23 yr. old homeless man came to us for help. He had many health issues and after taking him to the Dr. in San Antonio, they found out that he had Cancerous tumor in his Brain. He was given 6 months to live and I brought him to San Antonio, Tx. and became his caregiver in our home. He lived 3 yrs. and I had the priviledge of learning how to be a Hospice Caregiver without the pay from man...but God rewarded me with the awesome experience and prepared me for a new career in Caregiving!

my best to perform this kind of job as a Certified Nurse Assistance..or care giver..
I have work in the medical settings for 16 or more years. I am hard worker and I truly love what I do for people. Whatever it take to make them feel better about themselves. I love taking care of someone, the best way I can. I am very caring and thoughtful person.
I started working as a provider for an agency and liked the job then i decided to go back to school and take a cna course so i could have more knowledge of what i was doing (wich i still need to get my certification i have proof of completion ) also to care better for the patients because they deserve to be treated kindly and with respect what i love about this job is that you get to care for others like if they were part of your family.
I'm a caring, compassionate person that sees my job not just as a job but a commitment with great responsibility. Helping to of cared for my own grandmother, who passed three yrs ago at the age of 105, with dementia and Alzheimer's and somewhat my mother now , has given me a greater compassion and consideration for those I care for and their families because I know from personal experience that it can get overwhelming for family members who care, love their elderly and want to keep them at home close to people who truly want the best care for them. I am a mother of six children therefore I not only have the skills medically to be a caregiver but I by nature, personal experience am a nurturer and caregiver. I have a four year degree in theology and am a Christian woman that finds this field very rewarding mentally, emotionally and spiritually although physically it can be tiring. Knowing and going home after a days work that I have made a difference in someone's life is not only satisfying but rewarding for a person like me. I care for elderly, children, people with the same compassion, consideration and affection as I do and would want someone else if need to ,to care for my own family member. Some work for a paycheck others, we have a calling for this type of work, Iv obtained my certificate for of taking the course and updating my knowledge on dementia disorder and caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's. Have updated and completed the NATCEP ,Nurse Aid Texas Competency Evaluation Program.coming from a family that has a few members in the medical field, and experience caring for our love ones at home, I believe I'm more than just qualified for a caregiving position, Than you for taking the time reviewing my profile, Sincerely,Rose..
