My name is Sheila. I have 34 yrs experience in healthcare. 11 yrs as a Nurse Aide "when certification was not required." 17 yrs as a Certified Nurse Aide and Medication Aide and 6yrs as CPhT and Registered. I've worked in homes, nursing homes, hospitals, retirement homes, MHMR Facilities and Prisons administering Medications, taking vital signs, documentation on chg's due to new medication, assist with bathes, showers, meals, grooming, hygiene, dressing, accompaning client to DR's appt grocery shopping and cooking. When client or family member is able to request their wants or needs and the request has been accomplished through the Caregiver it merits instant satisfaction for both Client and Caregiver. I chose not to work for big Companies, because of "POLITICS". Next to winning the Lottery, this is most rewarding job in the industry. A Private Caregiver. Thanks, hope to hear from you soon.
Being a caregiver is not an easy task, no matter the needs or level of dependence of the individual receiving care. While taking care of one's own personal needs is more or less automatic most of the time, switching gears and caring for someone else is not. Putting someone else's needs before yours isn't always easy or fun, but coupled with the knowledge that you made someone's life easier and better, can be incredibly rewarding.
I am a very friendly, lively, and kind person! I love to talk and laugh and would definitely make sure that your loved one got all that they needed. I am young and strong and can help lift, carry, and do any manual labor needed. I have a lot of experience in this field and have helped many different families with their loved ones. If you teach me your system, how you like things done, what needs to be done, ect. I will absolutely do my best to do everything and anything needed. I will definitely try to go above and beyond what you require and will above all else, make sure that the needs of your loved one are being met. I started caregiving about 4 years ago with my sister. She took me along to visit her elderly patients and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved having the ability to make those who found themselves in a darkness, smile and laugh. I love bringing joy and making others feel comfortable. Also, having the ability to help out a family, to make their lives easier, means so much. Knowing that I am helping you out, if only a tiny bit, makes my day. I will feed, and cook, and clean, and transport and do all else that your loved one needs. I just want to make them feel comfortable and loved.
Am extremely calm and patient, a great listener. Well growing up, have experienced the other side of life to an extend and in future wish to open and orphanage and a comfortable facility for the retired so i decided to learn from scratch. Nothing is as fulfilling as putting a smile on someone's face. Being able to give a helping hand is what I enjoy most. Am proud of how compassionate I have become over time and most importantly bring comfortable to a dying love one with so much ease and love
My name is Dot, I am a great caregiver because I will care for my clients as though they were my family! I have been a certified nurses aid since July 23, 1993. Since then l have gotten my Medication aid certificate. I got into this field of work because I desided if I had to make a paycheck I was going to do help people in need to. I haven't been disappointed working as a care provider because it has helped me take better care of my family. The experience has made me a better person to and has brought me closer to God! My personal achievement has been to provide all of my clients with love and also have the knowledge to take care of my family!

Lynette D. Basquez A little story about me.. In the year 1979 my mother experienced hemorrhaging during a miscarriage. I never felt so helpless, we lost my twin brothers and almost my momma. I knew then at the age of twelve I wanted to help others. In 1989 I entered BTS nursing in where I finally became certified nurse aide. With my children still small I decided my school would have to wait. In the year 2002 after my children had grown up married and now have Blessed me with 15 grandbabies. I entered College for the first time and found it to be very difficult but after two years I finally worked my way into the LVN program in the year 2005 when only 6 months later my Mother was diagnosed with Bladder cancer. So I dropped out of school and quit my job at the ER moved in so I could care for her. However my mother passed away just two short weeks later. Now I realize that my place is to remain a Certified Nurse Aide because I get to actually experience the hands on help for those in need. Weather it is to complete a task or just sit and listen to stories of long ago. I love my job and all of it demands. My goal at the end of each day is to make at least one person smile and I Pray the care I provide has touched the heart in a gentle and kind way. It is extremely important to me to provide compassionate assistance to all in need.
