My love for the elderly and they remind me of my grandfather.the reason i became a caregiver is because i have a huge heart for the elderly, and I love listening to the stories that they have to tell about their past lives, it is heart warming.my personal achievement is my 3 great kids they are making their way in life. One is a RN the other is in the army and my daughter studying to be a doctor.
I pride myself in my organizational skills, timeliness, and caring fun personality. I also am a good cook; can find my way around most kitchens! I am observant and good under pressure, good at prioritizing, and also like to keep things clean. I am a great companion and will be able to build a good relationship with others. I enjoy caring for those who are unable to because I have compassion towards those who want to enjoy life but find physical limitations as obstacles. I have raised my son to adulthood and have now started over with a one year old and I am enjoying being a mother/a caregiver again.
1. I became a caregiver because I understand and realize that there are so many individuals who need quality care. 2. I really enjoy being able to give the family and loved ones that reassurance that there loved one is being given the best quality care. I understand that people are so busy, and the last thing anyone needs is the stress, and fear that their family member is not being taken care of properly. 3. I'm really proud of the fact that I have raised two daughters, and I went back to college and got my diploma in Health Care Assistant. 4. I currently work at UVA as a Health Unit Coordinator. I also will be going back to school again this summer to further my education to become an RN.

Im 33 years old and every since i was 14years old i have been taking care of someone. I have provided child care for family members as well as outside of the family. Im very compassionate and love taking care of people. I lost my father in jan 29th 2009 to cancer during that time i took care of him, i monitored his oxygen levels, despensed medications, changed tubes, cleaned tubes, bathed him, prepared meals that were consistant to the strict diet he was on. I also took care of my mother who had a stroke which left her temporarily paralized on one side i had to do daily exercise with her to help regain the use of the side effected. I helped her with her speech made and transported her to doctor appointments. I love taking care of people because i feel its my way of giving back and even if i cant give as much as i would like just a little goes a long way. I am aware of cpr procedures but am not certified. I have experience in medical assisting took a semester of the course in college.
