I have been doing Caregiver work since I myself fully recovered from a massive job stroke. I've worked with Agencies, at an Assisted Living place where I was paid CNA rates based on my own life experiences. Worked as a Personal Private Caregiver through personal references. I find being a Caregiver to be a very rewarding experience.
What makes me a good home care aide is my dedication to what I do. I give my best to serve / help my client in any way I can. I became a home care aide because I want to work with and help seniors. I believe that taking care of them is like taking care of my own mother. Aside from having the chance to serve / help seniors, what I like about being a home care aide is its flexible work schedule. Seeing my client satisfied and happy with what I do for him / her is a personal achievement I am proud of.

I have a been a personal caregiver for over 15 years I started out working as a Cna in nursing home and I thoroughly enjoy and love the helping others out. It is very fulfilling to me knowing I can help out in any way I can by just simply being there when they need someone. In addition to providing companionship, I can help monitor medications, prepare delicious meals, keep home and laundry clean, transport to Doctors appointments, etc. Your loved one will be in good hands when they are with me.
When my mother was ill, I was the one she would call to make her scrambled eggs. I took her to the swimming pool and hot tub to get exercise and relaxation. I cut her hair, took her to doctor's appointments and then lunch, and generally gave her some companionship. As I dusted her knickknacks, she told me where each was from. Mom died in 2002. When dad was ailing, some of my family tried to move him into assisted living, but he wanted to stay in his own home. I gave up my apartment and moved in with him, while working in publishing during the day. We had a great time together for a year and a half. Just after he died, I lost my job because I had spent too much time with dad. That evening, the daughter of a neighbor I'd assisted over the years called me, asking if I could help her mother. That began years of caregiving in which I have helped people stay in their homes, and enjoy life. I've brought my keyboard and played hymns and popular songs, singing with them and laughing. As a caregiver, I am simply happy to help my people stay in their own familiar setting. I believe the way I interact with them makes them happy. And my cooking makes them extremely happy! I built my cooking experience on my mom's, then learned to cook for fewer than 8 people! I edited three "Taste of the Country" cookbooks, working with a professional dietician who taught me many ways to fit dietary needs while providing tasty food.
I became a caregiver over ten years ago. While my parents began to age and I would help them out I found that I really liked doing it.The satisfaction of being able to do for others grew my passion to help people that can't help themselves and their families also.Right now I an enrolled in school to get my Assoc degree in health and human services to persue my passion for seniors and veterans.
Hello, I am Becca. I am married and 4 beautiful kids. I am a hard worker and very compassionate about my job. I am a great caregiver because I love taking care of people. It probably all started when I was about 13 years old and I took care of my great great aunt. I used to help my grandma ( which was a nurse) take care of my aunt. My grandma thought that I needed to take care of people when I was older since she told me that I was so good at it. So that's exactly what I have been doing. The most thing I like about being a caregiver is that the people I take of. I love hearing their stories and hearing about their life; it's so fascinating. My personal achievement is that I get along with the tougher clients ; when everyone else seems to think they are mean or hard to do; it seems like I can do it I love the challenge you could say.

I am friendly and family oriented. I love being a caregiver for the fact I love helping others. I started out with a side job a year and half ago with a lady with dementia. Then I decided to stick with it and look into a permanent job working with seniors. Since then it's my job and I honestly love what I do. I absolutely love meeting new people and helping them with their needs. My personal achievement I am most proud of is the person I have become. I love to help others and be there always when needed. Through personal experience with both my grandmothers, we found it difficult to find good quality and reliable care. Starting in High school I took a medical terminology course , and from there my interest in the medical field grew. I took the CNA course through Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville and LOVED IT! I opted to take the additional Advance Nursing Assistant course. I have worked in many different environment such as nursing homes, hospital and Home Health. After 3 years I decided to open my own business become licensed and insured to provide Care for others in their Home and it's been the Best discission of my life!!
