Update, I am only looking for a few hours presently. Wage, as well as additional duties (ones I don't have listed), can definitely be negotiated! Presently I am going to school for my CNA, I anticipate being fully licensed by end of May 2021. I am by nature a nurturing individual, my own Grandmother would tell me to stop hovering and go offer help to someone else...she also frequently told me, until the day she passed, "Sarah, you would really be good working with old people". The elderly/frail population is the most I have worked with, but I'm by far not limiting myself to this population only! I have worked with a late stage MS client extensively, another one with a condition highly mirroring Parkinson's disease, but the diagnosis I'm not positive of. I have aided clients with breathing treatments, and made sure oxygen lines were functioning properly. Also, experience caring for a colostomy bag and emptying of urine collection bag (many different set ups) and basic catheter care. Please ask about specific skills you require for proper care of your loved one! I don't have all skills/experiences listed, but I have been in the home care field over three years now and I love it! I have found my career niche in the work world! Thank you for your consideration, four professional references may be supplied upon request. Be happy, smile, and stay safe and healthy! Sarah T.

I became a caregiver to help others, it's always given me pleasure knowing I was able to make someone else's life a little better. I like being a caregiver because it allows me to give back what has been in me. The thing I'm mostly proud of is how much I've accomplished throughout my life. I'm 37 years of age and I've been a CNA for about 13 years now. I'm a very family-oriented, compassionate person who cares about the level of care I provide to others. I'm very dedicated to those I provide services for. I believe in the clients' right to choose his/her care along with treating the client and their loved ones with dignity and respect.

Hello, I am a nursing student at Cardinal Stritch University. As a caregiver I make great effort to provide each individual with the personal care they need in a physical and emotional supportive way. As your caregiver I will help with your daily activities, such as assisting with bathing and bathroom functions, meal preparations, feeding assistance, grooming, medication reminders, and house chores. I will help make and keep appointments with doctors, provide or arrange transportation and serve as a companion to you. I chose caregiving because I am patient and responsible and understand how important my role to help is. What I like mostly about my role as a caregiver is the impact I have on each individual in giving of myself and my time. My most personal achievement is raising my own children and pursuing my goal of becoming a nurse.

I'm UPDATING my profile today, 6-3-2019, to reflect an upcoming change in my life: I plan to move in with my 86 year old Dad, next month. He loves to drive (he has 4 cars!) but his doctor has suggested that he not drive alone to unfamiliar places. (He has memory loss and gets turned around easily.) What I love about the Carelinx platform is that it allows me to offer my services as a professional caregiver to families that need my help while being able to care for my family members, too. I have over 17 years of experience as a caregiver and a sympathetic ear, especially when it comes to caring for elderly parents! I can understand how you feel because I'm going through and have gone through many of the same things. (My Mom passed away in May 2014.) Feel free to contact me if you need a caregiver for 2-3 days per week, for 4-6 hour afternoon shifts or if you just need to talk to someone willing to listen. May the Lord bless and comfort you through these challenging times. - Stephanie

I'm very trustworthy, honest and kind person. I became a caregiver because my grandmother suffer health issues that couldn't not be met in a traditional senior living facility so I took several class to learn all the cares she needed at the time. However one thing that I enjoy the most as a caregiver is smiles and laughter from a patient that's comfortable with the way I care for them. One thing that I person achievement that I'm proud of is giving back to others that needs help.
