Hello! N. Phoenix 5pm to 10pm only. I've been working in many aspects of healthcare since 1991. I Started out working with Young Adults with TBI and SCI injuries. I've run Alzheimer's Homes in the valley. From there I went into Hospital work as a CNA on Ortho, Med Surg, Tele, Oncology, Mental/Behavioral Health, Drug Addiction. Looking for more excitement I transferred into The Operating Room and worked as an Operating Room Assistant and later an Anesthesia Tech. Excitement got a little overwhelming so I learned to read Telemetry and was in charge of 60 plus people in the hospital on different floors. After 7 years there I left and started at Craig Hospital one of the Best rehab facilities in the country maybe the world. I was there for 13 years working with Major Brain injuries and Spinal cord injuries. In this time I became VERY proficient at working SCI & TBI. I'm a very good teacher which was part of my job educating family members so they could bring their loved ones home. I also have a VERY good understanding of TBI patients and spent Eight years working One On One with these individuals Relearning EVERY aspect of their lives again. Again, Educating family was a huge part of this job. I have tremendous experience and Impeccable references! In Twenty plus years in healthcare I've NEVER had a complaint against my license or inadvertently hurt ANY of my patients. Safety has always been my number ONE concern. I've received many awards for excellence in my years and go the extra mile to make sure my job was completed and my patients are comfortable and relaxed. After all we're here for them! I have a great personality and I'm VERY trust worthy. Im a man of my word. I work equally well with Men and Woman. My hearts in the right place. I'd love the opportunity to help you and your family member through difficult times. If you have any questions, Please feel free to inquire Thank You for stopping by! Have a Blessed day! Healthcare is my Passion and Purpose, My younger brother just recently passed away from cancer and left me his home if I would relocate from Oklahoma to Arizona, So I did. This is home to me. I feel you would not regret adding me to your team. I look forward to visiting with you soon.
I've been a caregiver for 20 plus years. My step mum was a nurse in a retirement home and introduced me to life as a caregiver. Caregiving gives me an opportunity to provide compassionate care for others as well as learn from them. It's what I do and what I know best. My personality and traits are best described as compassionate, easy going and articulate.
I am passionate about caring for people. I believe that one should always treat others the way they want to treated, with respect, patience, dignity, and kindness. I enjoy caring for people and loving what you do is most important to being able to give others the best care. Raising my daughter Saturday (11 years old) has shown me everyday what a gift it is to have such love and compassion for others and also having taken care of my elderly parents has been a gift so it is my family that attracts me to the career in caregiving. What I enjoy most about caregiving is knowing that I have made each day more positive and hopefully helped someone to feel better emotionally and physically. A personal achievement I am most proud of is my volunteer work at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital where I was assigned to the Oncology Unit and working just to make the children on that unit love, play, or do artwork taught me how precious life is and how even the smallest kindness matters more than we know.
What would make me be a great caregiver is that i have a sense of empathy, caring either for a small child to and elderly person. I understand and connect most of the time with Patients that they can create a sense of calmness and trust with in me. I also have lots of Patients for those in need of my help i listen to what ever they have to tell me so they can feel some affection towards a caregiver. What attracts me to being a caregiver is that i myself have grandparents living with me i know as getting to a certain age you need help and cant do many things for yourself, There for this is when i realized this would be a perfect job for, since i love to help others in need or may need any type of resources from me. What i enjoy most about being a caregiver is that you get to listen to other people, have a conversation with them and help them feel better. A personal achievement that i am proud of is that i have grown in this career path not only as for who i am but also my capability of managing a professional Medical Assistant in me and helping those in need of my help.
I'm a very compassionate person, and I've enriched the lives of many, while in the comfort of their own surroundings. I've worked in the medical field as a respiratory technician for 15 years, and I've been a certified caregiver for 20 years and found that in home health care is where my passion lies. The majority of my clients are elderly, and to remove them from their surroundings can often cause them too much trauma. Being in their homes with them, and assisting them in day-to-day activities, is always more comfortable and provides a much happier environment. I know at the end of each day I have shown them compassion and made their lives more comfortable and peaceful. I am certified in CPR and FIRST AID, and I am a CERTIFIED CAREGIVER. I also have an extensive medical background as a RESPIRATORY TECHNICIAN ,and other aspects in the medical profession.
I have family of 3 kids after the left I have the need of finding something to be occupied and I got my frist experienced and love it it makes me so happy when I see happy faces and I enjoy being helpful for somebody at one time they were full of energy 1 feel so proud of myself after my husband passed away 2006 I was able to continue with my life helping people and that is something to be proud I am very active person I get sick if I don't have nothing to do enjoy cooking and gardering
I have been a caregiver my whole life. I can remember as young as 8 years old, going to work with my mom visiting patients in their rooms, brushing the hair of a woman who was bed bound. I knew from an early age that taking care of others brought me joy. I attained a CNA Certificate in 1999 and have worked in nursing homes, rehab centers, private homes, one to one care, have also worked with terminally ill patients for a short time. I would love to go back to school for a Practical Nursing License in the near future.
