Hi, my name is Viridiana Rojo (Viri) and I would love to help those in need. I had a grandmother in Mexico that I have helped take care of when I visit, usually 2 weeks at a time. She had diabetes therefore I am familiar with the care she needs, from medicines, skin care routines and helping her around the house because she is not able to walk nor see properly. I also cared for a senior from 2016- July 2019. I would help her with her medications, hygiene, meal prep and picking up groceries. I have a toddler and an infant of my own that I love very much and thanks to them I have learned new skills that I will be applying in any given job; multitasking, communication, housekeeping, meal prep, patience, initiative, and finding new ways to entertain and make someone happy. I hope I am a good fit for your family. Have a wonderful day.
I have been a caregiver for 15 years. I have continued my education as well. I love working with diverse clients. I work with the elderly and mentally disabled from children to adults. My name is Barbara Duus. I am a native of Colorado and have been married 30yrs. I have lived in my current home for 28years. I have over 40 years of caregiver experience. My goal as a caregiver is to keep one thriving in their own home; to spoil them; to provide a safe, nurturing, loving relationship and companionship. The individual I care for will feel special and loved. They will feel happiness, joy, contentment, balanced, engaged, and comforted. I am a caregiver because this is where I find my fulfillment in life. I started caring for my grandma, "Nano," when I was 13 years old. She was confined to a recliner chair.I will never forget those days with her. I knew then, I had found my calling in life. Aside from that, I am especially proud of the hospice care I have provided. I am creative, "old school," compassionate, honest, organized, patient and very empathetic to my clients needs.
I have been a caregiver for 30 years and enjoy working with people and being part of their lives. I ran a retirement home as an assisted-living director and ran the dining room and started the Alzheimer's unit. I have been working with home health agencies and also at facilities and enjoy doing activities with the residence and seeing people smiling and laughing because most of them do not have families that come and visit them so basically we are their family. I enjoy being a caregiver and being in their homes because then you get to be one on one with them which makes caregiving more personable and it's a blessing that most of them can stay in their homes. Being a caregiver is not a talent or something that you can be trained on it's mostly what's in your heart and knowing that the elderly need good people to take care of them and One day we are going to be in the position where we will need someone to take care of us so knowing that there are good caregivers out there it just makes it easier on the family to take care of their loved one.

I am a caring and compassionate person. I decided to become a caregiver because I enjoy helping people. I like to make my clients happy. It means a lot to me to be able to help them, to make them laugh every day. I take great pride in helping people with activities that would otherwise be overwhelming. I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses.
I started helping my grandparents at a young age. I could relate to them, and would sit and listen to 78 rpm records, w/ my grandfather, and he would tell me stories about the music we listened to. I traveled around the World, w/ my parents at their families, and would have to help them in their needs. In 2000, I started working at Nursing Homes in Boulder, and have continued to this day. I can relate to the elderly, whether they are male or female. I like seeing them happy and pleased, when I have helped them in any way. The fact that I have been with various clients for over 6 yrs. continuously, before they have passed on. I live in Lafayette, Colo. Am a homeowner, am very religiously minded, and am always putting "other people first", before myself. I always think of the aspect of: "how would I feel, were I in the other individuals' shoes?" and how they would want to be treated?
