I became a caregiver because I love to help people. I love to see others smile and go beyond my job duty to see that they are happy and satisfied. I'm now a Medical assistant and would like to go back for nursing. I hope one-day to have my own home health care. I'm kinda quite at first, but respectful and on time because I don't like to be late. Honest, caring and dependable.
Hello, my name is Lisa I am 42 years old and have been a caregiver for a little over 13 years. I am truly compassionate in my duties. I became a caregiver after my grandmother passed away. She was placed in a facility and wasnt getting the care she needed so I spent the last 3 months taking care of her. I understand the importance to have someone who is reliable and understanding someone's needs. My biggest accomplishment so far is graduating college last year with my bachelor's of health services administration which allows me to continue to grow in health care. I am flexible and understand that schedules change based on the clients needs. Rate is negotiable
I permanently reside in P.SL., Florida for over a year and after working 10+ years in the medical field and with the intellectually challenged I am looking to continue my career and skills. I enjoy being a caregiver and how it brings me joy to see others happy. I am proud of being nominated as employee of the month in August 2012 and also awarded from New York State for being a Direct Support Professional.
I am a good listener. I try to make my patients feel at ease and feel encouraged to obtain as much independence as they still have. Enjoy listening and sharing each others events of our lives. I love caring for the elderly and disabled but most importantly want them to feel good about themselves. Just want them to know they matter still.

I am a loving caregiver with over 15 years of experience. I began as a teenager taking care of my own grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer's. I was trained in a hospital setting as a CNA. I have worked in multiple settings throughout the years, including; assisted living facilities, hospitals, and home care. I prefer to work in home versus a facility, as it allows for a more personal connection and attention. Having cared for my own ill family members, I can understand and relate to how stressful this time is. I pride myself in caring for every person as if they were my own loved one.
have been in the health care field for over 20 years plus. I am a Pharmacy/IV Technician, Medical Assistant and Medical Office Manager. Although I enjoyed my "work", the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences were the relationships I made with my patients. I have also worked in home health and have cared for patients that have had strokes, dementia and cancer. My passion is making each and every one of my patients know that I respect them as a person, I value their life experiences, where they came from and the wisdom they have gained over the years. My personality is always extremely cheerful, positive and upbeat and it is contagious! I looked forward to seeing and interacting with them and they with me! My dad had Alzheimer's and I assisted in his care and managed his medical care until his death. I was his voice when he no longer had one. Over the years I have also helped take care of grandparents and other family members. This gave me the experience and ignited the fire and passion I have for elder care, I am their biggest "cheerleader" and best friend but also know how to encourage and be firm when it is tied directly to their medical well being!

I became a caregiver because I like making a difference in a patients life. I like to be the family that they need when their family can't be there or has other obligations. I enjoy learning about my patients on a personal level while caring for them, hearing all their stories about life. They are never \"just\" a patient to me.
