I would descibe myself as a highly empathetic, compassionate person, that has always been drawn to and found it very rewarding to care for others. That is why I am so passionate about the well being of my patients, being able to assist others so they can stay in their homes safely, with the confidence of knowing the person that is caring for them is not only prepared to take the necessary measures to aid them if any possible issues should arise but that their caregiver (myself) is not just doing a job, my patients know that I am a caregiver that really cares.
I feel as though my personality helps me be a good caregiver. Being able to talk to clients helps a lot I enjoy being able to know that I make a change for my clients. I like making many new clients. Lots of my clients have no family. And I become family as I'm working with them. I'm proud for being a CNA but my greater accomplishment includes being accepted in RN school. Currently on leave for some things before heading back. I have been providing care for individuals since I was 14. I started out in a nursing home as a volunteer and continued working there until my late teens. At which point I got my CNAs and began doing home care. I have provided care for children as well as adults. Being that I am so versatile I can adapt to most any situation.
As a child I always dreamed of becoming a nurse. My grandma was my inspiration in my career. She basically raised me while my mother worked two sometimes three jobs to make ends meet. When I was a young teenage woman my grandma fell an broke her hip, this took a major toll on her health. At this point I took on the responsibility to care for her after my school work was done. She passed two months later comfortably surrounded with family, just the way she wanted to move on to heaven. Caregiving brings me the upmost joy, to see the joy on some ones face after giving honest compassionate humble care is the most heart warming feeling.
I am a compassionate artist, with an interests in mixed media. I enjoy using my skills to assist others with the wonderful therapy of art. I believe we are all born with the creative nature, some carry this out throughout their lives, some suppress it, but it's still there just waiting to expose itself again. I find that art is an amazing outlet, it allows ourselves to express what we are feeling, our emotions, our dreams. I am extremely empathetic, kind in nature, and believe we all deserve happiness in our lives. I have excellent verbal skills, high time management, very organized, extremely trusting and honest. I look forward to working with your love one.
I was instilled at a cery early age, a love for geriatrics. When most children were going to after school care programs, I had talked my parents into letting me Volunteer in a local Nursing Home Activities Dept. Till they got off from work. After graduating High school at the age of 16 I was unsure of where to go with a career. I got my EMT-B certification but when a close family friend lost her husband and needed a caregiver due to MS and offered me a job I fell in love instantly with in home healthcare. I started Home is Maid. It started as In home healthcare that specialized in keeping a clean home with warm meals and great fun companionship but within past 4 years went more in the direction of organizing and deep cleaning homes mainly for elderly stuck in chaotic messes they were unable to get themselves out of. I have worked days off to sit with clients as they have passed and family was out of town as not to be alone. I hesitate calling these wonderful men and women clients or patients as they were and are so much more than that! I like to make this job fun for them by not only the classical In home healthcare but with more planned activities and organizational tracking.

I think what makes me a great caregiver is that , i first build a relationship with my patient. I think of my patients as family , and i treat them how id want someone to treat my family members. I love all my patients equally. I became a caregiver because i've basi been doing it all my life, since 2006 with my grandparents. I am patient, understanding, kind, loving and i go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable.
I've been Care Giving for 7 years took care of my mom for 6. I've worked for a few agencies. Now I want to work privately. I'm a great caregiver because, I'm very compassionate about people. Especially the elderly. I became a caregiver because of my mother. She was a live-in. I did everything from paying bills, grocery shopping, Dr's. Appointments etc. Care Giving is in my blood. My grandmother was a caregiver before agencies were around. I suppose that's another reason why I'm looking to go private.
I am a great caregiver because I will be able to give them my full attention,I love helping them and my heart desires to take care of the elderly people with anything they may need. My grandmother was blind and I took care of her and I was there for her when she needed attention. My father having cancer I took care of him. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is taking care of people and showing them love and being able to give them what they may need help with. I am proud of being able to put a smile on a person's face and letting them know that God can and will be there for them.
