I love to help people. I do care about people that I'm caring for. I have ability to help people. I also love to help people to be happy. It's takes a special caring person to help others to make the best out of their lives. It's rewarding to make some happy. I'm easy to be around and get along with others.
I have been a caregiver over 20 years (long term, rehab, old timers unit patients, and etc). I care about the elderly and people that need help and cannot help themselves. Having parents that died in their 60's from cancer it was nice having the experience to be able to take care of them from their homes. Have done homecare over 5 years and really enjoyed working with the family's.
What makes me a great care giver I'm a hard worker, dependable, caring, and patient, don't mind going the extra mile to get the job done. Why did i become a care giver its my calling this is what i was bless to do care for others. What do i like about being a caregiver its very rewarding. What is personal achievement i am proud of I'm to say I've been working in the health field for 20 years.
I became a caregiver at a young age by request but as I got older it was done by choice. Caring for the elderly gives me satisfaction knowing that I can help people in a personal way. I love making people laugh. It's my way of adding sunshine to their lives. Several seniors I have cared for were not excited at all about having someone to come in to sit and to care for them but it took a short while for them to look forward to my arrival and they hated to see me leave. I have cared for people of all age groups. I have worked exclusively for the elderly the past few years. I have been a great companion to them all! I'm very caring, I work long hours if needed and I'm willing to do just about whatever it takes for those in my care to have a very meaningful experience! I do med reminders, incontinence care, meal preparations, and to stay busy, I will clean! I love what I do and have always done more than what was asked. My main objective with care is to help the family members of those in my care feel they can live their lives without worrying about their loved one in my care. They can feel confident that their loved one is in good hands! Those I have experience with had Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and I have cared for a quadriplegic! I'm confident I can meet your care needs! Thank you for reading!

I go above and beyond when it comes to being compassionate with residents. I love helping others who have a hard time helping themselves. I have a soft spot in my heart for helping people when they are in need, makes me feel good about life and puts things in proper perspective. I have had three great years in this field especially when it comes to the Alzheimer's and dementia residents.
I chose nursing because I wanted to make a difference in the way people had been treated in nursing homes when I was young (in the 70's). I was determined to set out and make that change, and I'm proud to say I have made changes in more than hundreds of people's lives in my career and I'm not finished yet. I have much more care to offer and much more teaching to do. Fast forward.. now more people are choosing to stay at home to be closer to loved ones or their loved ones are choosing for them to remain in their own home as long as possible so they can be as independent as long as they can. I am outgoing, and have a passion for helping others, I love to cook, especially for special menu plans.
I really love engaging new clients! I'm highly energetic and always willing to learn. I have always enjoyed older people, they have so much to share. I recently went from being a housekeeper for 10 years to becoming a full-time caregiver when my client was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. It was the hardest thing I've ever done and it was the best. My sweet client recently had to go to a memory care unit and I realized how well suited to this type of work I am. I'm very compassionate, adaptable and completely dependable.
