I have experience taking care of couples as well as individuals men, and women. I love dogs and have one at home. I do not take clients who smoke. I like the night shift, and I am available for work overnights for 8-12 hour shifts either in a home or in a facility. Also available days on a case by case basis. The age of my clientele has ranged from 21 to 104. Wherever you are I can go to get to you. If you are in a facility and you want me there I can be there. I am a huge advocate for my clients and I have a zero tolerance policy for maltreatment or neglect. I also will not allow anyone to exploit or abuse a client without reporting it to the proper authorities. I have advanced training in Alzheimer's and dimentia as well as some Occupational Therapy training as I am a full-time college student in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program currently. Set to graduate to 2019. I am currently taking on new clients for overnights during the week 7 PM to 7 AM I may be able to take 8 PM on or 9 PM on depending on what time it ends in the morning. That would be on a case-by-case basis. I go back to school August 28 and will be in school on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I have to be available Thursday mornings to be in school for 8 AM
I have worked in mental Health over 15 years. I have a BS in Community Mental Health and two years ago I semi retired. I am gentle and patient. I smile and have a positive attitude so that my client/clients feel free to let me know whatever they may need. I have over seven years of experience in a long term care facility and over two with disabled clients. I strive to find my clients needs so that I may better assist them.
My name is Tiara I'm 25 years old, when I was 18 my grandmother fell ill and there was nobody that we felt could give her the around the clock skilled care she needed without going into a facility (which nobody would have allowed to happen) so I began caring for her myself, following under the direction hospice had given. I began turning her as needed aiding in her mobility so she wouldn't lose the use of her legs, hand over hand feeding her. Anything she needed I was there and I realized I didn't just like to help but instead it gave me a good feeling to know I was doing more then just assisting I was a companion. She was no longer"down in the dumps" it's a wonderful feeling. I'm a very honest easy going person, I've got a habit of always seeing the brighter side. I enjoy reading and cooking in my free time. Im currently awaiting my test for my cna certification and soon after I will be bridging to LPN.
I have always gravitated toward the elderly even in my own family. As a child of 5 my favorite person to spend my time with was my great grandmother. I enjoy hearing their stories and just spending time with them. I like being helpful and I enjoy knowing that I have made a small difference in my patients life. I am very dependable and honest. I don't have children. However, I do rescue dogs. I have 7 at home but I have help with them when I need to be away for long periods of time. I am accustom to 12 to 48 hours shifts as a caregiver and I am very flexible in my schedules. I am available part time or full time if the fit is right for both parties. Please feel free to ask any questions.
I enjoy caring for others. I worked at my mothers daycare from the age of 14 and after I had my own children, in every aspect of the facility. I have cared for 2 elderly ladies, the latest, for almost 3 years. I am very nurturing, caring and patient. I am most proud of my ability to study and go online to find the source of something that was bothering her. I even diagnosed a condition she had due to her blindness, called Charles Bonnet Syndrome. I found a support group and connected her with a man who suffered the same syndrome and they became phone pals, talking weekly. This gave her such joy as she lived to be 96 and all of her friends had passed. When she had other issues, I'd go online and find out what we needed to adjust in her diet or use in bathing her to alleviate her discomfort. She was very appreciative and said I always was the one who would go extra lengths to make her comfortable.
I am a current student at Newberry college and I am a pre-nursing student. I live doing homecare and connecting with my clients I want to make their experience as best as possible. When my grandma was in the nursing home they mistreated her and I want to make sure they get the care they deserve. I have worked with clients who have Dementia, Alzheimer's, Musculsr Dystrophy, and Parkinson's disease. I have alot of experience and would love to continue opening doorways for myself.
I have always enjoyed taking care of people and helping every way that I can. I took care of my nanny for 4 years before she passed and that is what initially made me become a care giver. I believe the most essential asset that I have is I know what my patients experience and relate to they way they feel. I was in a bad car wreck 3 years ago, and I was disabled and could not walk for a year. I was put into a nursing home for rehabilitation and was not able to do anything for mysel .
I always have love helping people I believe that was my calling in life.when I was 5 my uncle had asked me what I wanted to b when I grew up I said I wanted to go in the nursing field .So i started out babysitting when I was 13 yrs old n then in high school I took up Certified nursing assistant n I loved it so I been doing nursing assistant for over 30 yrs I love to see the smile on there face or the sparkle in there eyes when they knows somebody cares enough to help them feel there tasked that they can't do.Thanks Denise
