I am a mother of three grown children and a grandmother. I grew up caring for an aunt with severe retardation. So I learned from an early age to be a care giver. I was a care giver for a lady with fibromyalgia and lyme disease. I left to take care of my grandson full time. Now that he is getting ready for school I am able to work out of the house again. I cook and can prepare special diets. Low carb, salt, sugar etc.
I have a passion to help people in any way that I can. I am friendly, energetic, driven, charasmatic, and I love to bring happiness and peace to others around me. Being a caregiver means more than helping people to me, it means I get the opportunity to make someone else happy by fulfilling their needs and making them comfortable.

I started in healthcare at age 17 in a local nursing home close to where I lived. I have always known that caring for others is my calling. I have worked over the past 20+ years in nursing homes, hospitals and physicians offices. I enjoy caring for others and find it to be very rewarding. There is no better feeling than knowing you have made a difference in someones life.
I have been a caregiver for over 30 years when my daughter and sister needed care during their struggles with cancer. I continued to work throughout the years and am now a Direct Care Professional with the Brenham State Supported Living Center, where we care for individuals with a variety of physical as well as mental limitations.

Looking back now as a child growing up , Grand Mother passed when I was an infant so missed that precious connection . So as a young child was always seeking out the elderly and assisting those in need . The reason why I became a caregiver because I love providing home care-giving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so.
