Helping others was always a big part of my life at a very early age. Being able to help seniors was a gift inside of me. I just wanted to help them so their life could be easier. Working as a caregiver, I enjoyed hearing all their stories and the wisdom they have. Helping them accomplish their goals was rewarding. Being able to connect with people & help others is what life is all about.
I have worked with seniors twenty-five years. I have had my CNA certificate since 1994. Most of my experience have been working as a nurse tech. in the homes of my patients. The job duties are: Meal prep.& feeding, Personal care, Exercise program with patient, Toilet assistance, Med assistance, Dr. visits, Transfer & walking assistance, Daily vitals, Light housekeeping,
Worked with patients with dementia, stroke, diabetes, wound care, blood pressure, cancer recovery, broken bones.
I have enjoyed working with children with special needs. A little boy with down syndrome had a feeding tube, severe heart condition, seizers. I was there over three years in McKinney Texas.
I have 21 years of caregiving experience. I had worked in skilled nursing facilities,
currently working at a university teaching hospital and home health agency.
In the hospital I work on different units such as mental health, rehabilitation, ICU
and med surge units. I have certified nurses assistant and respiratory therapy
certificates. It gives me joy when I have the opportunity to help care for a person
who is in need of care.

I love being a caregiver too young or older someone in need of help I am very proud to take care of someone that needs help I am very proud of what I do.
I am honest, hardworking, and have a heart for taking care of people. I have been with the same lady since 2003 and she has become family. She passed away this month. I plan on finishing nursing school as soon as my kids are all in school. I feel like my calling is to take care of people.
I am a humble proud woman who is constantly in need of something to do or someway to help those around me in my community. I found a calling in Care giving because it gives me an immense feeling that can only be described as true happiness and, I can only hope that in the future some one else will do the same for me.
I put myself in people's situations and hope when I need help good ppl are available. I've been a CNA working in nursing homes, taken care of ppl thru home health care, and my own father . Compassionate ,understanding , trustworthy, and being available is so important.
I took care of my grandmother and my mother in law . when my family wanted to put my granny in a nursing home i moved in with her to make sure she had the proper care, the same applied with my motherin law which she cancer . i found joy and love in what i did and i would do the same for other. fixing meals three times a day ,snack, and making sure they had their bath and meds on time. later on after their passing my mom had two strokes and i took care of her and made sure she had her meds and making sure she had around the clock care
My personality traits are dependable, proactive, loyal, and consistent. My consistency is what makes me a great caregiver as developing relationships with clients would be in vain if they are not nurtured. My desire to encourage others to believe they are great is what attracted me to caregiving. I enjoy most the friendships I make in caring for others. My personal achievemt was realizing I am here to help promote togetherness.
I am a self starter who learns quickly. I love to work with the elderly and learn from their life experiences. I am very easy going, understanding, punctual, caring and compassionate. I would love to spend more one on one time with the people I work for. I love having someone feel like I have enriched their family members lives. I became a caregiver because I love the joy and hope I bring in keeping families together and an elderly mom or dad home with the family instead of a nursing home.
